I kinda like the idea of that stealth camo, it needs proper finish though, edges are too smooth and shiny black colour doesn't go with matte grey IMHO

doubt that, the hardest part would be to disassemble the car, as I imagine you would need to in order to reach all the bolts and etc.
basically you would need power steering pump, fluid reservoir, maybe different steering rack and some tiny bits here and there. there's nothing complicated in volkswagens

Quote from Tinytacohead :EDIT - didn't wanna waste bandwidth with a reply to the below, so.. he's right. the looks do say it all - all the ways the owner's ruined the car. like I said, at least he's not in denial though I guess, like most of the rest of the hella-stancewerkz etc bunch. Oh gosh, and now I see he's planning to chop & throw random shit together and call it suspension too, hmmm, lol. I'm glad I'll never be around that car on the road!

Random eh? not random at all, not choped springs btw. known spring rates, shocks adapted to the spring rates, everything working smoothly, how you can call that random? trust me, I'm engineer

Quote from Tinytacohead :At least you know it's stupid I guess..

yes, I admit it's stupid, you can't drive anywhere, the ride is bumpy, but the looks of the car says it all, so I can have all the bad thing if I have the looks.

ye, ginho something like this is it on air btw? because coilovers solutions are quite pricy for the e28. I'm thinking of making my own coilovers for it. it isn't hard, shortened and hardened struts, some adjustement added and custom springs. I'm looking to get total cost of 300e

the best thing is that I got it for 1000e. it's really nothing for such car in such condition.
Quote from Tinytacohead :Just don't destroy it like the pictured Golf..

you mean by lowering it?
if yes, than sorry, cause it will be low, stupidly low, ginho like low.
will looks something like this, maybe a bit lower.

and about hubcaps. I removed them ASAP, so rolling on steelies now. my friend got 14" e30 OEM hubcaps, so I think they will do for the winter

sold my golf and finally bought a car (just after registration):

it's a '84 520i lapisblau with manual gearbox. very happy with it, as last owner was a pensioner and had this car for 17 years, did service history by himself. In 17 years he did only 50k kms with the car, so now it has 200k km on the clock. There are no options except driver recaro seat, M sport leather wheel and heated seat(s) (it doesn't work though ).

looking stupid as usual

lowering your car is about the looks + you get stability on the road and in the corners. moreover, it makes you drive slower to avoid potholes, that increses safety and decreses fuel consumption.
anyways, if you don't like lowered cars, you will always find arguments not to like them, but please, don't be stupid enough to say those arguments without trying to drive atleast few of such cars.
aaaand yes, it's almost the same as high heels for ladies.

Quote from Scrabby :roll the inner archline, will do allot (if not done)

will be done, just need to figure out how to glue overfenders as they're screwed to that archline. and also wheels are cambered, that seem to help too

and some moar:

archgap is like a vazhhhina.
form>function.
lay frame or gtfo.
These are MY arguments. Any car looks better when it's lowered, even offroad cars, even though it makes no sense then.
The thing is that I like cars and car is not just mean of transport which gets you from point A to point B. Other people just don't care about how their car looks or handles in corners and that's perfectly fine, cause they're OTHER people, not me. So guise, it's pretty pointless to have such discussion, it's like an argument between religious people and atheists

completely agree, should look something like this, though it's wrong angle to see the lowness:
