To be honest I'm surprised [and pleased] to find it's even still here.
However it's always been an "indie" game and I guess therefore it has niche rather than mass appeal.
I think that games like Project Cars with their real world locations and cars plus their "proper" backing will always mean that LFS is a quirky little secret enjoyed by the few who come across it.
I also think it's probably better that way too, online at least the world's clever/dumb balance does not appear to favour the intelligent.

I'm sure this isn't the first Fox to get painted with the Stars'n'Stripes, but hey what's one more?

As with the Union Jack Fox I posted further up the page this isn't really "finished." Feel free to add decals, race numbers and or/change it as you please.

P.S - it's not on LFS world.

The right skinner would find it easier to make a "sick" Halloween skin if they knew which car they were expected to paint

I deliberately left large blank areas on this so that people can add their own decals and numbers - either that or I'm too lazy to finish it

Either way, please edit this to your heart's content - there's no need to credit me - make something of it and call it your own [just remember to put it on LFS world... ]

Like the T.V ad says - "It all starts with an absolute blank"
Heh, it probably should have stayed that way too, but this skin kept bugging me to make it - so I did.

It's been...ooh err several years. Nevermind I'm sure someboy will tell me if I'm doing this wrong.
Anyways in the old days we used to post a preview, a 1024 px and a 2048 px so here goes..... I can't remember what the file size limits were so I suppose these might want some tweaking...

Quote from thisnameistaken :

so I can potentially get banned from three for bombing, petting or whatever and still have somewhere to go.

OMG!! the old red'n'white "no this that n' t'other" sign on the wall of every swimming pool [you've got to be a certain age] brings back memories that mate.

As for you Dan, well done, looks like you've shifted an awful lot of weight [my apologies for wading all the way through the text in case that would have told me]

You gotta take of yourself mate, ain't no-one else to do it for you...

I don't actually know any famous people but if it's namesakes you want then my best mate is Paul Smith and my name is Michael Johnson.
I did go to school with a professional cricketer called Chris Adams but he's not really a-list material

As for famous people I have actually met [mostly briefly and mostly through school],the list reads HRH Pirncess Margaret, Enoch Powell, Jim Irwin, David Bellamy, Jeremy Clarkson, John Noakes and Air Marshall Sir Charles Pringle who just had lost of medals and seemed to think he was famous.

With regard to commentary - use skype - when Tristan and I did the STCC races we initially used team speak. Part of the reason that I took so much flak for the sound of my voice in those early races was that teamspeak's quality isn't really good enough - the other part of the reason being that I actually do make Jack Dee sound interesting

Ironically I work in a contact centre

The "Superstars" soundtrack made me giggle - I kept expecting Kev Keegan to turn up with a silly haircut and Brian Jacks to do eleventy dips on the parallel bars.

I thought the footage was nicely cut and edited, and the use of camera angle was sufficiently varied, although using rapid cuts always makes me feel like I'm watching a promo video not a race, since I find it difficult to follow what's happening. Given the variety in your clip I suppose I am.

Negatives for me - I hated your choice of font - I forget what it's called - battlefield or something?
I don't think the red text was really strong enough to stand out from the footage.

All in all a decent enough video although the flash version I watched on your site is obviously of a poor quality, I hope that has not affected my opinion of it, tbh I no longer play this game and can't really be bothered to download movie files illustrating that it doesn't appear to have moved on a great deal in the year since I last played it [cue hate posts and flaming bananas]

In order to solve any problem you must first be sure that you understand it - doing so may take you to a few places that you don't want to visit but it's necessary.

Then having understood the problem you can begin to tackle it. Work out which parts of the problem you can beat by yourself and think about who are the best people to help with the other bits.

Sometimes it's necessary to let people in and tell them things about yourself that you don't wish to. People can't help you if you don't tell them what's wrong, and long term gain usaully outweighs short term cost. In other words ASK people to help you. In my experience they usually will.

Figure out how you can approach your problem in manageable steps, keeping a checlist of "bits" you've solved sounds a bit anal but it proves you are making progress and beating your demons.

Finally think about the parts of the problem you have already solved. If necessary think out of the box, I pretty much guarantee you that you've already started moving towards a solution.

Do as everyone else says find a distraction - one you enjoy and have some fun, don't use it as a substitute for solving the problem and don't shove your problems to one side but DO take time out to do something - anything else.

If you like Mashup dance mixes try google searching for "budtheweiser" -I'm not going to post any direct links since I'm not entirely sure of copyright implications.

I'll give it a go when the full game comes along, although I expect I'll be running it on low details since my pc is geting a little old now.

Hopefully the multiplayer element will be as strong as Far Cry's assault gamemode which was some of the best multiplayer FPS I've played.

In other news S.T.A.L.K.E.R - Clear Skies is scheduled for Q1 2008 and has a site up with a downloadable video. That should be worth the wait if Crysis does turn out to be all eye candy and no gameplay.

I have a big red "missile launch" button on my desk at work complete with flip up plastic cover. Whenever I am talking to a complete ****wit on the phone [which is at least once a day] It amuses me to press the button and imagine that I have just sent a lightning bolt their way.

I also have a desktop Soviet flag - it sits in a very particular place on my desk, where it is right in the line of sight of the person who sits behind me. This is because said person annoys me and my "goddam commie flag" annoys him which seems a fair enough arrangement to me.

I am actually not a communist but I do find it amusing pretend that I am since my office is full of irritating people like the one who sits behind me. I have recently bought some Hammer and Sickle cufflinks from Ebay just to wear to work. Given the look onmy manager's face the other day when she noticed them I may find it safer to wind the game back a notch or two for a while. Oh well, I'm a little ashamed to admit I was actually enjoying being quite so childish.

The F08 skin is a re-post I think/hope I have the smaller decals more accurate this time around - overwrite your old versions.

Bf1 Skin as requested.

The small decals aren't correct, it's not possible to make them out from the image you posted.

All the smaller decals are not accurate, there's no way of making them out on the rather small images you posted. The XRT is evidently not a Chevrolet so there's no bowtie either.

Feel free to alter the numbers or otherwise modify it to suit.

Hopefully this will be your bag baby....

Sorry I don't have the time to be precious about it and make sure that all the white stripes are exactly the correct width.
the stripes look all wrong on a jpg because I had to hack the design about to account for the fact that the stretching/distortion isn't consistent across the model.

Oh well, I guess I'll have to hope that Aunty Liz doesn't throw me in the Tower for having given the National Flag quite such a brutal re-design.

Feel free to add any decals/numbers you want to it or to change it to suit your needs.

Do you require any additional sponsors decals?

Would you like carbon trimming such as hood or wing?

basically I'm asking are there any other pointers you can give me?

Oh and do you want to have your text mirrored on the driver's side? [which since you're american would presumably be the left of the car]
