Honestly, it may have been better to spend your money on pCARS of RF2, but as you won't be able to get a refund I hope you enjoy your time with S2 
Do you need someone better to host it? Hosting shouldn't be an excuse for donations these days...

The reason is because LFS is dead.
That is a perfect example... but Scawen is just not as good as him.
Eric and Victor are either just figments of Scawen's imagination or the result of personality disorder.

This is actually really amazing, from Slightly Mad Studios (BMW M3 Challenge, NFS Shift, etc.) it's a new racing simulator with large investors and an unique community driven system.
It's still pre-alpha, but the graphics are amazing, racing feels pretty good, and it is actually being CONSTANTLY DEVELOPED...I MEAN YOU CAN ACTUALLY SEE PROGRESS HAPPENING! This sim definetly has huge potential, and is surprisingly good at this stage of development.

A good tip for next time this may happen is to not touch your LFS, but minimise it and go get the temp.mpr and rename it. If you join the server again, or any other server, the replay is lost. So make sure to rename it, then perhaps join the FM teamspeak to see if there's an admin that you can show the replay to.

All that is needed for time of day and gradual changes of lighting is a new lighting system. Textures and models should stay the same, maybe some slight adjustments to the shape of the light bulbs on the cars, but hopefully that's about it, because if Eric is involved, who knows how long it would take...
Of course, a lighting system like this isn't easy, but anything is possible for Scawen.

Not only would better crash physics require new coding by Scawen, but probably new car models made by Eric - and we know that's never going to happen.
After all these years of silence, we can only hope that Eric has done some track work. But anyway, the developers are too scared to release any track updates, even if they do exist, due to incompatibility and resetting of world records etc.
