I think BoP is terrible, but agree on the transparency.
The Porsche 6 had indeed an amazing race, but it was just one car (drivers making the difference?). The other Porsches performed poorly, which we already knew was going to happen before the race.
You are right about the Ferrari BoP numbers, but you left out that these numbers are better than both the 2023 and 2024 races, when they also dominated. So if they're dominating, why are they getting green numbers? What does BoP do?
And yet they keep getting top speeds 10+ kph above the others. Again, what does BoP do?
Why Peugeot, the weakest car, was hit the hardest in BoP?
If there was no BoP, I would be here praising Ferrari's engineering, driving and race execution. But insted they screwed the race with multiple penalties (as usual, while others executed perfectly) and somehow just had to cruise for 24 hours...
But hey, we should be talking about 2026. What are expecting from Hyundai?
I don't think there's any "improving Monaco". Pushing the chicane forward would probably help, but there's not enough space to make a slow chicane near Tabac. A fast one wouldn't help either.
But you know what? We already have 20+ races in the calendar. We have all sorts of tracks and many with easy overtakes.
I'm actually ok with having one track (or two, if you consider Singapore) where Saturday is the ultimate challenge. That qualify was great.
I'm not sure I ever raced Bottas, but I surely raced Nicky and used to see FiredUp a lot in Gentlefoot and other events like NDR TBO Challenge and such.
Fun times, even though I only saw those drivers when they were lapping me.
Yeah, I agree. I think the coasting to charge batteries is really weird too and don't belong in racing.
I wish FIA would just say "your non-hybrid engine must cost 1 million bucks tops and you'll have 150 litres of gasoline to spend in the race. Go design!"
But I have no idea if that would work. I really miss different engine configurations for different teams.
Still lurking these forums, but haven't played for ages.
I have Assetto, but haven't touched it in a few months too (mainly playing The Witcher 3 and World of Warships lately). Don't have any consoles as well, and to be honest not really into it.
