well if it's that dark due to the weather choice for a 12hr race that's got to be one of the biggest own goals ever

the stream looks terrible for a showcase finale.

I think Hamilton was 100% right to vent some frustration as they let slip an easy 2nd place as he was a half second faster than Kubica and the two Ferrari's. I would not look at Hamilton's driving style here but the car itself was very good on the tyres as showed by Jenson's pace as he was still going faster and faster as the fuel level dropped, the Mclarens looked much better on tyres than any of the other manufacturers.

When I asked myself the posing question.

If a friend today inquired that they were thinking of getting into sim racing and asked you - What would be the sim of choice ?

I don't think I could currently point that friend towards LFS in it's current state of stagnation.

I would like to thank the Dev's for making a sim that gave me so many great memories and made it possible to meet so many good people and friends over the last few years that i have been involved with LFS Thanks again fella's

Personally to be honest I have already moved on but I will always visit here and keep an eye out for developments and will be back to rub wheels from time to time but for me the magic has gone

I do understand over time priorities change from time to time and hope Scawen and the other Dev's will once again be able to put LFS where it deserves to be in the future, for a long time LFS was punching well above it's weight in the sim world and all from a 3 man dev team and that was only down to a lot of hard work and late nights for a number of years

My only concern is that the speed of development currently is that when the new tyre model is finally released it will be a few years behind what is currently available elsewhere.

still looking forward to the future though.

Just picked up on this, I'll have to dust the FOX down though and lube her up lol

Good to see all the old faces still popping in much like myself, I have moved on to other platforms to race though.

The best grids of the week Wilko are Fri, Sunday or Monday evenings with Sunday 20:15 race usually being the main race of the week.

I have read through the whole post and this is the post which stands out for me in particular, the reason being the results themselves just do not add up.

The flipside :

It does seem clear from this post that the main reason the GTAL teams have a good record against MOE teams is simple basics as in Practice, Preparation and Motivation as found in nearly all leagues within LFS, I cannot personally see an MOE team putting in the same amount of effort into a GTAL round as they would do for an MOE round - hence the results to date.

I am not faulting any MOE team over this as I believe it's just human nature regarding motivation and a time management issue when the two series are running simultaneously infact the MOE team has more to lose than to gain by taking up the offer to race as has been shown by the results.

I look around at the driver names competing in GTAL and most drivers are not new to LFS as most have at least a couple of years experience but it's good to have leagues such as GTAL and IGTC which we as seasoned racers can hone our skills to attain and strive to gaining MOE standards as has been shown so early within this season

As for my personal opinion on guest teams I would have to conclude their participation has a minimal effect within the league itself.

Since when were demo users able to use skins ?

I always thought only licenced drivers were able to use custom skins

I get the same with tiscali though it does not seem to effect LFS only streaming and iRacing
