The discussion around SKG made me think about the LFS situation.
Are there EOL plans for LFS? I think there should be, however unlikely an emergency shutdown scenario seems to be.
My only wish, is that if scavier ever gives up on lfs, or something worse happens, that the game becomes open source, available for ppl
no end in sight
Quote from Scawen :I'm only 53 and doing my best to stay alive. :nod...

it was so heartening to read this.

since this summer I've come into a little more free time so my neutral steer FZR set is getting more love. I started on this setup many years ago and have never spent more than a few weeks without fiddling with it. I'd be satisfied for it to stay only on my computer, for the feel it gives me, but I do dream of reaching a point where I can put a new setup out there for the community.

once in a while I wonder if the sim will still exist online when and if I ever reach my goals with this set, so I'm glad no one has plans for when "it ends" Smile

the fact you can refine a setup almost endlessly speaks to the depth of simulation LFS offers, despite some limitations like 1:1 MR or whatever. I'm after the feel at the wheel and so far this is the software that lets me explore endlessly and reach new levels chassis feedback.

I'm only 49 and trying to eat well too, but my hat's off to you Scawen for having quit smoking. well done, sir and best of luck with your endeavours!
