ah thanks, i was looking on wrong section of page.
just right for start
Definately a great race for Flying Lizard
This race was epic, even the finish thanks to LMPC / GTC last lap passes. Got loads of onboards because I can.

#4 Corvette - punts off out of control LMPC and then battles hard

#06 CORE Autosport GTE - Battling hard, crazy situation with GTC and Rebellion, and got spun by Ferrari
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XNEv529iKjU

#55 BMW - Broke hardcore
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GGpa-b9jzbc

#56 BMW - Battling with #17 Falken Porsche and I think also the #91 Viper
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tkbj1MOMnsY

#551 Level 5 HPD - Epic backfire ahead, plus battling a bit with team mate
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=06KnEx65z-I

#30 NGT GTC Porsche - Rear view, LMPs flying into screen
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FFY7a1iLAuM

#22 WeatherTech GTC Porsche - Onboard battling
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LeAwC_nPMu8
yes nice race.
do you have video of car #30 pass for first in last lap?
Quote from Gutholz :yes nice race.
do you have video of car #30 pass for first in last lap?

No because Phil decided to go for the #56 in 3rd in GTE
lucky for all three of them.

btw, I somehow really like the new 911. Looks very form-follows-function.

....

next weekend the annual 24h Nürburgring runs again, and again I can't make it to the track Looking at the starter list I miss the times when 24h Specials were fighting for the win, not just GT3 cars. And less and less oddball cars make the starter list each year.
Nür 24h Qualifying is on at the moment. http://www.24h-rennen.de/en/live/
Radio LeMans does english commentary as usual

Race will be from Sunday to (Whit-) Monday this year. Top rows look typically GT3 heavy, must be almost 30 cars in that class, but surprisingly Schulze Motorsport, (Gran Turismo's) Yamauchi, Schulze, Schulze, Krumm is almost Top Ten atm with their Nismo GTR GT3.
Quote from Gougoodthing :Can't watch because I'm an Aussie.... Sigh...

If you´re using chrome, use the extension called "Stealthy"(google it). Set it to germany, then you should be able to watch
Can't you use the international stream? Don't try it now as the stream is not running.

edit: this how some of the camping sites apparently looked like yesterday morning (yes, snow):

Jörg Müller withdraw from the squad due to the injuries he suffered in Spa last weekend in his immense crash with Rene Rast's Audi.
So Claudia Hürtgen does his stints now, wonder how that turns out for Team Schubert.

Aston Martin Vantage GT3 on 2nd via Top 40 Qualifying (by Pedro Lamy), now thats quite a surprise

both streams just started. And its looking like a rainy start may be possible.

International Stream (get on to save your slot):http://www.24h-rennen.de/en/live/

.
The official stream is now viewable outside of Germany too, if this was unclear.

Start in 30 mins.
sooooooooooooooooo, race was just red flagged. Most likely due to rain and fog, but no further info yet.
Yeah fog and heavy rain... Imgaine how much water is in the pitlane, I don't want to imagine how the situation is out there on the Nordschleife.
sucks that there is only that static pitlane camera, would like some onboard shots or similar just to see whats going on out on the track.
Quote from ACCAkut :sucks that there is only that static pitlane camera, would like some onboard shots or similar just to see whats going on out on the track.

could not get the onboards as the tv helicopters couldn't lift off, which gathers those signals... so the onboards were only emitted into the aether.
oh ok, never knew the system worked like that. Thought they had a sort of antenna system around the track feeding the signals into a cable-based system. So the normal cameras from around the track are relayed through the helicopters aswell?

Those poor mechanics, repairing all the cars now while the drivers take a nap None the less I'd happily volunteer for a mechanic job

From my knowledge since I work in the TV industry, it's this:

static location cams hard wired with fibre or another type of cable back to the production truck
incar cams wireless, receivers in helicopter (which if the ceiling is too low they can't take off)
pitlane handheld cams (big cameras on shoulder, industry term is handheld because it's not on a tripod :P) usually have an assistant with the RF transmitter pointing it at a receiver around the course
