Quote from E.Reiljans :Fun fact: most of Metro haters haven't even used it (for more than couple minutes).

I just think most people are apprehensive of change. Personally, I love the metro interface; makes me feel like it's the next step in human pc interaction, of course morons will debate this as well...........
So what advancements do you think metro has for a desktop user without a touch screen?

I'm genuinely curious.
Finally found out how to organize it in a way I like

1st Default apps
2nd Metro apps that I downloaded
3rd My Computer and folders
4th Most used software

As I used to do since XP, the "all programs" window is organized by categories. Useless shorcuts are hidden, so all the apps are visible, no need to scroll to the right to see them all.

Old and kinda useless dekstop with same color as the Metro one and with no icons. In this way I don't feel the continuous desktop switching, feels the same just with no tiles. And because of the way I organized the rest, I don't need any icon in there.

You ruined Windows 8 by putting Google on it.
So? It's not like I have anything to hide.
If you do, then why are you still not in jail?..

Neither do I...

Pretty happy with my latest desktop. Not one to do this type of crap, but am enjoying it. Will prob get over it within the week.

Quote from PLAYAPIMP :Themegasm

Could I get the name or the link of that theme, please?

E: Oh, and my desktop is black with only a few icons on it. My Windows tends to remove my wallpaper every time I "close" my laptop or when I put it in sleep or when I run some fullscreen apps etc.

I have to find another wallpaper. I don't think it fits well with the theme and I couldn't be bothered to find a good one since this was a 5 minute job last night, lol. Reinstalled W7 and was using default theme/background for a while

Theme: Placebo for Windows 7

Icons: ecqlipse 2

Also like 5 different rainmeter themes used together, lol.

Any chance you could tell me the themes of the speaker and activity gadgets? I'm running Rainmeter as well, but I feel like it's a bit too empty.

I know that some laptops come with software that for "power saving" remove the wallpaper and stuff like that. Might be something to check.
