Request: Please add an AE86 model to the game
Can you please add a modell for this car in LFS?

The AE86 is a very famous/popular drifting car and it would be a really nice addition for the LFS drifters out there.

Some pictures of the AE86:

We all know it's a popular drifting car, and I don't think this question will make you very popular, because there is something with drifters and grippers. And secondly, there is only three "real" cars in LFS, and they aren't really anything like a street car. We don't believe LFS will ever have cars like toyota, nissan, ford, whatever, except if they pull off a contract like they did with Sauber.

And please remove that air intake from your car, it's ugly, and I don't think it has any use.

It weighs the car down, and makes it safer for him

About my air intake: Well, I didn't mount it... but it does have a purpose. It cools my intercooler which is rather usefull since my engine produces 190 HP. And it won't look so stupid when I get it repainted to match the color of the car

About the name, it doesn't really have to be named AE86 in the game, they could just use a fake name and make a similar model.
Who's going to say the XRGT is a "similar" model?
You tell em!

And about that air intake... it looks like it's sticked on and doesn't have a hole in it leading to the engine. And I don't know very much about cars... But does a car with 190 HP need an air intake? If it does have a use... Please paint it FAST.

Yeah, it looks ugly, and I wouldn't have mounted it myself. But it's there and I have to accept it. It'll look better painted

It is a hole in it and the intercooler is placed right behind it so it does get some cooling. If it is neccessery with the air intake to cool it I don't know.

The car runs like hell though. It's just insane...
btw do those things really have solid rear axles ?

How is your intercooler mounted? I've never seen an intercooler anywhere but right behind the front grille. Mounting an intercooler right on top of the engine isn't very smart, as the heat from the engine kind of defeats the purpose of having an intercooler. Also, how is your car turbocharged yet only makes 190 hp? It must be a very small turbo.
Imprezas have an intercooler on top of the engine
more to point what engines he got in it to need intercooler?

ae 86 had a very nice 1600 twin cam 16 valve lump

spec actually was like an updated escort mk1 rs1600

16 valve 1600

5 speed box instead of 4

disc brakes all round,

optional lsd

optional hydraulic handbrake, roll cage, fire extinguisher available from toyota's sports division when ordering car from dealer
#14 - JJ72
and that doesn't work very well.

XR GT is a simmilar model!

In fact yes, they do. Before getting the S13 I was seriously thinking about buying a AE86, but the classic suspension technology of the 86 (and the looks :schwitz made me go for the S13 in the end.

About the intercoolers.. the second generation (FC3S) RX-7:s also have top mounted intercoolers > http://www.personal.psu.edu/us ... /leo%20rx-7/leoengine.jpg
stock, yes the .. uh.. you mean 2nd generation RX7 has top mounted intercoolers
.. but his trueno .. is modded lol, thats not stock
My question is this: if you actually own an AE86 that puts out 190bhp (nasty-looking intake aside ), why the hell do you want LFS to simulate one? If that was my car I wouldn't sim-race ever again
Quote from _Rob_ :Imprezas have an intercooler on top of the engine

So has Nissan GTI-R's... Its called TMIC(Top mount Intercooler), and the ic u got in front of the radiator is called FMIC(front mount intercooler)

something in norwegian; Hvorfor posta du egentlig bilde av bilen din her?=P Den var skamfet forresten
Quote from Matrixi :In fact yes, they do.

yuck ... so the japanese even copied the crappy amercian suspensions

Quote :and the looks

hmmm i like the boxy 80s type look on cars
to me eg the integrale is the best looking hatchback ever built
Quote from Shotglass :yuck ... so the japanese even copied the crappy amercian suspensions

Well it doesn't have leaf springs, so it's not entirely as crappy as american suspensions.

It's supercharged (compressor), not turbocharged.

Vel, når jeg førsta posta bilder av AE86'er så måtte jeg jo ta med min egen.

The engine is a supercharged 4A-GZE engine with some minor addons to produce the 180-190 HP.

I bought it like a week ago so I haven't had it registered yet. I might not be gaming that much sim racing after I get it on the road.
what do you mean by insane...? fast?! 190 HP?! illepall
