Opened a server for LFS'ers just in case, I guess it will be madness in public.

I would guess they are promo pictures because that RoadrunnerS guy is clearly working for Thrustmaster. So your best bet is to send him a pm or wait until he comes here with new pictures.

I think a sensible mutliclass server can work, make it STD+TBO+LRF and another server NGT+GTR for example. If you go for too many different servers racers will just spread out (which was a problem for CTRA too) and you will get 10 servers with 2 people on each of them.

Race lengths are quite important in my book, the shorter the race the bigger is the chance you get some of these nasty T1 accidents because people just don't have the time to go through the field reasonably, make it around 15-30 minutes in length and you should be getting better racing.

Track change, the track shouldn't change to often, yes kids these days can't bother driving something for more then 3 races before they get bored but to learn a track properly and to develop a somewhat working set for it you need at least 8-10 races. Hard to say what's the sweet spot there, you just have to try it and see which setting works best, maybe even only do a track change every 12/24h as mentioned already in the thread.

I'm no big hotlap guy but I think the tyre temps for the slicked cars are mostly fine and easy to get perfect before the lap if you want to, what you should increase is the temp for all the roadcars, thats where I mostly see a lot of tyre heating before the actual hotlap.

It could all be different again if the new tyre physics come out though, so you really think it is a good idea to fiddle with that now?

Damn, it did sound like he passed away, maybe you should write it a little less dramatic. ^^

But I know and respect him, shame he decided to sell his account.

Quote from E.Reiljans :1. all sandy bridges have internal GPU
2. 2500 is not unlocked multi (2500K is) so it's not really overclockable anyways.

Oh, I always thought the K stands for the internal GPU, you learn something new everyday, thanks.

Quote from Seb66 :Can't wait for this stuff to arrive!

Why did you order the H67 and not the P67 chipset on your motherboard?

You don't have an internal graphics chip in the i5 2500, thats the only reason why you should go for that instead of a P67. You also have a fixed CPU multiplier on this chipset so you can't properly overclock your cpu, whereas you would easily be able to achieve 20% overclock and future proof the CPU a little with the P67.

Quote from GreyBull [CHA] :Race 1 and 2 were great indeed, thanks for hosting.

The whole thing was getting a bit too long anyway, 3/3,5 hours is quite a lot for an event of this kind.

Yes I wasn't expecting some of the mistakes that happened on my end, mainly the problem with the Southcity layout and the Qualifying order. I guess we easily lost 40min to an hour just there.

In other news, I think I got the standings correct (tried to tripple check, if you find any mistakes let me know), congratulations to the winner Joe Holmes. You can call yourself proud owner of a brand new cake assembly kit! The team standings are just for giggles, we need to be in front at least somewhere in our own event

Quote from GreyBull [CHA] :Was great until some decided to turn this into a ****ing crash fest.

Thanks for the efforts anyway CR.

Well the bump and jump was supposed to be a crashfest I'm sorry if you felt you got crashed in the serious racing too, accidents just happen sometimes, I hope you still had fun for most of the event.

Thanks everybody for joining, I laughed a lot and I hope everybody else did too. Points and stuff will be worked out either tonight or tomorrow.

Quote from three_jump :the blackwood layout is a joke, right?

As mentioned already, the bump&jump layouts are both just to have some fun in between the serious racing, they both are very short (approx 5-7min) and even if you finish dead last you will still get 2 points for it so no need to worry.

I will be streaming my races and since it's no team event I will try to give some insight on what a driver thinks during the qualifying/racing. Could also be that it will be very silent if I start concentrating too much.
