We do have the same system in LFS really, that is if we would get content to actually part with some cash every now and then. I really don't mind giving them some funds if the price and content is reasonable.

You could try and change the download server location in the steam options, try some different ones and see which one works best for you.

The 4x sparse grid supersampling is quite heavy on fps but these settings look most natural to me, with hdr turned on you get fxaa but it does make the game look blurry and adds weird effects.

I too had that problem mainly with the Lotus 49, over correcting it all the time. It's not as bad any more with more practice but I still tend to do it every now and then. Can't say I had any trouble with the road cars yet, they feel pretty natural to catch on my end.

I doubt they're illegal to resell, my local webshop is selling OEM Win7 too and it's one of the major online sellers in switzerland.
You will have a hard time getting them equal on all tracks, but giving the UFR 10-15kg will make things a little more even with the XFR being a bit faster on tracks with long enough straights.
As far as I know AC uses vertical FOV while LFS uses horizontal. You would need to convert those 35°.

Ye it was fooling me to a point where I went and checked with the colour tool and the two planes really got the same colour...
You call that mess valid? Just because the sim doesn't complain does not mean it's anywhere near a proper line.

Check the logs in My Documents/assetto corsa if you cant see anything obvious in there post the logs in the assetto support forum.

If you own a netkar license you should still be able to try the pre alpha with one car and one track. There will always be people who like this and don't like that so I think the only thing you can do is try yourself or take the plunge. In my opinion the 35 Euro are certainly money well spent (at least so far, no multi player yet). There is mostly UI stuff I don't like, I guess we're spoiled with LFS where everything is so straight forward to set up but the actual driving bit I can't get enough of.
AMD card? I'm pretty sure I saw discussions about this on recent ati drivers. Try dx9 converter dll or roll back to older driver.
