Ok. Maybe it was a bit rude. But he didnt understood the idea behind this thread. He just give his Ricer-Drifter-TFaTF stuff to us.
Quote from ramtech :Here's a little "contest" we r unofficially organising, post here YOUR 3d models of the cars you would like to see in LFS.
Rules:

-u can basically model ANY car you want as long as its not an existing one. (you can mix different cars)
-only pure 3D models
-u can post reference pics along with ur model renders
-no photoshoped cars made out of LFS existing ones
-keep ur model as low in polys as possible
-always post a wireframe of ur model
-there's no timelimit, take your time

ps. if u need a good tutorial, i would suggest searching for the "box modelling a nissan 300ZX" one, which comes in .pdf version. (u can google it).

[COLOR=red][B]EDIT: heres the tutorial i was talking about: http://s57.yousendit.com/d.asp ... DGZ83B7I5NRH25T63K3Z8T5GF

I think it is best for anyone read the very first post in the thread before they post.

Well time for me to show you guys my new project. Im still kinda new to 3dsmax but i can manage to do something not too bad. Its based on a caterham (lx lfs car) geometry but im currently adding some changes to the body.

So here's the lx concept car (pics are in progress order):
Im pretty happy with the results for now except for some bugs here and there. Fell free to comment.

Heeh, looks funny.
It needs a seat and a grille in the front..

But I like it. The fibreglass bodyshell over the bare frame - makes it look like a proper kit-car.
I wish I could make 3d models like these. Very nice. But I dont like the design very much
The wheels' polycount is too high :P

Shorten the nose, colour it red and add some windows, then you'll have Postman Pat's Van.
Quote from Taavi(EST) :That Escort was truly F***d up and i lost the model with my old HDD. I have a new one in the works tho, but it's not an escort anymore.

Um, sorry to bump this topic up

Here's the new project:

Nice ! Keep up the good work.

Pac Man Car
Started making this today, but need a 4 cylender engine model for it.

Any body got one? It doesn't have to be that detailed.

The wheels are ready, just need to sort the suspension first. It's a 3 wheeler btw.

Added the front wheels, still needs suspension making and the engine and face features need to be made and added.

Generally rocks! (too bad it doesn't run on my mac via CrossOver)
@Keiichi, I bet if the wheel base was shortened up, there was less metal on it, and it was generally less gruff looking it would be our Formula Ford.
sorry for the kinda off topic, this was 1 minutes work in 3ds max, but its 2 am so tommorow ill have a look at doing this properly. On the theme of the formula ford

http://img341.imageshack.us/img341/6637/65807509un7.jpg

just removed all the sticky outy bits and made it a bit shorter, as you can tell i forgot to deselect the wheels so their a weird oval shape.

As i said, im going to properly have a go at this tommorow (today i suppose). All ive ever used 3ds for was rendering, so this should be a learning exercise.

On the note of learning, is there an easy way of getting a bit of track into it? im generally guessing no, but on racingrenders it looks fantastic.
Looks good but the sidepods should be way lower compared with the FOX like this.
