Pitting rules:

Race requires a minimum time spent in pitstall of 10 seconds. That can be done either with single pitstop or sum of multiple pitstops. Driver who has spent less time will receive penalty time added to his finish time, which will be calculated by tripling the missing time to complete neccesary minimum time and adding additional 5 seconds. Drivers failing to pit at all will receive 1 minute penalty added to finish time (10s*3 + additional 30s).

Race statistics (quite useless in this race) / Event rating and other statistics (will be updated during upcoming week)

Unfortunatelly this race turned into a farce as many competitors had a complete lack of respect to known standard track limits. It's understandable that the design is not really good of the badly famous chicane leading off the oval section of this configuration (which has led the community to create multiple solutions to avoid the chicane),but still that does not mean it is ok to blatantly use grass section as racing surface. Race Green Events has usually been quite liberal regarding track limits and will never go as extreme as one other event, held last year, but still the normal rule of "2 wheels on track at all times" applies to any track and grass is still considered not being a part of track, unless otherwise stated. To show graphically, here's an example of polesitters line in the named chicane:

(the yellow marking on the circular cutout shows the grass patch, which can be entered with only with maximum of 2 wheels of the car - the other 2 wheels have to at least touch tarmac and curb to be counted as legal in this case)

The organization of this event was not expecting this kind of behaviour of racers, therefor was not prepared for any actions during the event. This is why multiple reminders were posted in ingame chat, which obviously were not seen by many, while others cared about that seconds before race start. Admittedly organization could mark the course better and even set some cut prevention objects on the chicane, but as before - this behaviour was unexpected.

Therefor it was decided to take postrace action and review every single finishing driver (those not reaching half distance were not monitored, only fastest lap was checked) and count the track limits violations. Since this is an absolutely unprecedented situation, organization was forced to create and adapt some custom ruling and penalty system:

• 2/3 of covered laps count (17 or more violations in full distance) - disqualification from race results
• 1/2 - 2/3 of covered laps count (13-16 violations in full distance) - 45 seconds penalty added to finish time
• 1/3 - 1/2 of covered laps count (9-12 violations in full distance) - 30 seconds penalty added to finish time
• 1/5 - 1/3 of covered laps count (5-8 violations in full distance) - 15 seconds penalty added to finish time
• 2 - 4 violations - warning

Additionally fastest laps in qualifying were checked and everyone violating track limits in their fastest lap will receive 5 seconds penalty added to finish time.

NOTE: track limit violation counts if driver has left track with more than 2 wheels voluntary and without outside influence. Track sections checked - 1st chicane, chicane leading off oval section and pitlane entry section (the small chicane).

Besides the track cutting problems, the combo of "people's car" XFG at the long and relatively fast Kyoto GP long configuration offered plenty of side by side racing, even if that's not the most effective way during the race,it provided enough fun for many drivers and broadcast followers. The attendance of 35 drivers puts this race as 5th most attended in RTFR XL history.

There is not much to say about action and battles for positions in this race as various levels of fairness resulted in different penalties, shuffling the positions beyond recognition, therefor pure statistical figures of top5 finishers. Unite turned out to have the fastest legal lap in both sessions and, despite additional 15 seconds, was the fastest to complete the race distance, receiving as a gift the 1st RTFR XL racewin,1st pole position,2nd fastest lap of the race and 10th top5 finish. Unite is the 24th driver to score a win in the longer RTFR series. Ayoub Maroc is classified as 2nd,which is 2 positions better than previous best finishing effort,3rd top5 finish for him. Current rating leader and 6-time winner R.Kardol is classified in same position as he actually finished - 3rd,which is his 22nd top5 finish in RTFR XL - tied most with event organizer. Mandula is scored 4th in the results - repeated personal best in the series,4 is also his top5 count here. Top5 is closed by another hungarian Gábor, the previous winner scores his 7th top5 finish.

* FUN FACT OF THE MONTH :
Let's be honest, there was not much fun dealing with results in this event,so we'll let this part out.

* CLOCK PITTER OF THE RACE :
Right at the first opportunity Rony dived into pitlane and clocked 10.22 seconds pitstop, which is the shortest among drivers not doing any pitwork. There were 4 shorter legal pitstops, but all of them added some fuel to the quite economical car.

* FIELD RUSHER OF THE RACE :
With results and stats this messed up it's up to community to decide the best in this segment.

* HONORABLE MENTION :
Would go to all the drivers being fair and work hard to not take unfair advantage of track design flaws, but since self praise stinks,we'll let this one out.

VOD at Youtube:

It took a lot of time to check all the drivers behaviour and sum up the results, that means the racewinner has so much less time to reply to PM and submit his combo choice, but 2 days still should be enough. Next week normal RTFR will return with a race, where track limits problems should be out of question, but we're expecting a set of new problems. Full info about the combo will be posted soon today, while server is set up for practice already.
