SCCA Solo drivers?
Hello all... anyone here that does autocross off the computer? If you do, how has this acted as a tool to improve your driving? Some of the courses look and drive just like the real thing... I guess ill have to wait till my next event... and to keep this online thing fun I would be interested in comparing times with others.. anyways im very happy with LFS for now. Hope to here from fellow autoX nuts Smile
Rally, drift, Car Golf, what are you looking for exactly?
There used to be an American autocross community in LFS a few years ago, but I don't think they're still around unfortunately.

Like I said in my OP.. im looking for people that autocross off the computer and im curious if LFS has helped with real driving. The autocross im referring to is SCCA Solo. It usually takes place in large parking lots and a course is setup with cones. Each driver is classed for a specific car they drive and they compete for the best times.

Example... http://www.lfsforum.net/showthread.php?t=12032

My best clean run on this course is 37.60 and I was driving the XF GTI car. I have the run recorded so as soon as I figure out how to transfer it here I will.. We may not have an American autocross community here but we can still compete for times if anyone is interested
I think there is no regular event in this specifique style.
There are tons of layouts on forum though.

For solo driving "rallye style" tracks are more popular.
This is the closest I know and maybe interessting still:
User "sinanju" sometimes hosts his layouts online and posts the times after a while:

And maybe this facebook group ( https://www.lfs.net/forum/thread/87282-SM-Ralli-Championship-2015 ) and https://www.lfs.net/forum/416-LFS-Chile

I will have a look at that course later.
I autocross and even club race with the SCCA.

I can't seem to get the hang of auto-x in LFS. It just doesn't have a good sense of speed to me.

Now the road courses are a different story. They definitely helped me; LFS has a great tire model and great FFB. (only 2nd to Assetto Corsa and ties with Iracing, in my opinion)

What car do you autocross? It doesn't happen to be a Mazda 2, does it? (that's what I have as a dd!) Great car; I love mine.
I drive a fully prepped STR S2000 CR... the mazda2 is my daily and im in love with it to lol I have done some solo events in it and there's just something about driving a slow car fast that puts a smile on my face.. its a great car and a blast to drive

For the sense of speed its the opposite for me.. I have a tendency to push to hard on the LFS tracks. I will find out this weekend if LFS helps improve my autoX driving
