Round 3 - Blackwood Historic (BL11) - Drivers' Briefing

  1. Rules. Everyone should read the full rulebook, so as not to get caught out on any new or changed rules for this season. The rules, as well as a handy Cliff's Notes version of the most important new/changed rules can be found here.
  2. Wind. Based on the results of our random number draw (5) as described in Rule A4, there will be LOW WIND for this round.
  3. Schedule. Qualifying begins at 16:00 UTC with a traditional 30-minute hardcore session. (Split servers will not be used for qualifying this round.) After qualifying there will be a 20-minute free practice session, and then we will start gridding at 16:50 for a 17:00 target start.
  4. Layout. Drivers must not cross the blend line when exiting the pits. Drivers are allowed to cross the line when pitting in.
  5. Start/restart. The start and restarts are done in single file. The SC will leave the leader in the final sector, and the leader should maintain SC pace (100mph/160kph). After crossing the restart lin ... en flag will be displayed. There is no overtaking before crossing the start/finish line.
  6. Safety car. Any cars trapped between the safety car and the leader at any time during a safety car period will be waved around the SC at the earliest opportunity. The leader will always take the restart first. The SC will travel at 160kph/100mph for most of the lap.
  7. Push car. If it is safe to do so, we will attempt to remove stranded cars from the gravel traps without a SC. In this case, a Push Car will travel slowly well away from the racing line to assist the stranded car. The admins will alert drivers that this is taking place.
  8. IRC. Please ensure that you have a team representative in irc://irc.gamesurge.net/IGTC to communicate with the admins.
  9. Post-race time penalties. For this round, the DT/SG time equivalents are: 12s / 24s.
