IGTC 2009 Season Schedule

The International Grand Touring Championship is proud to announce its 2009 season schedule!

As in the 2007 and 2008 seasons, events will be run once monthly. All events will be four hours in length, except the final round, which will be double-length (at eight hours) and double-points.

All race weekends except the final round will begin with 30 minutes of "hardcore" qualifying at 18:00 UTC and have a 15 minute break from 18:30 to 18:45 UTC. Races will begin at 18:45 UTC. The final round will begin 4 hours earlier, at 14:00 UTC, and follow the same pattern.

IGTC 2009 Season Schedule:
  1. 21st February, Blackwood GP, Cloudy Sunset, NO WIND
  2. 21st March, Kyoto National, Cloudy Morning, NO WIND
  3. 25th April, Aston North, Clear Day, LOW WIND
  4. 23rd May, Westhill International Reversed, Clear Day, NO WIND
  5. 25th July, Kyoto GP Long, Cloudy Morning, NO WIND
  6. 22nd August, South City Long, Clear Day, NO WIND
  7. *26th September, Aston Historic, Clear Day
We have designed the schedule in such a way that it uses weather and wind settings that might closely resemble real life conditions. Wind conditions for each round will be announced 24 hours prior to the time of the race. The wind will be based on the forecast conditions at the real world locations which the tracks are based on. Wind settings will be limited to low or calm, so no hurricanes!

Is it still only 4 drivers max for the 8h event?

The schedule has been adjusted.

We will have 7 races rather than 8, with a 1-month break in June. Since the final race is 8 hours rather than 4, this comes out to the same amount of driving time as the previous seasons. It also gets rid of an iffy South City Town race, erases the Kyoto 500 conflict, and gives teams a nice mid-season break. Aston North and Westhill International Reversed have been shifted up a month each in the schedule.

Thanks!
Nice. Two South City tracks were a bit too much I think, especially because it was almost the same track. (except for 2-3 corners..)

I think that these two tracks are good selection because these are the longest routes in the City. In shorter routes there will be too much
overtaking drivers several laps behind.
