If you have to set up a report regarding an accident during race 6, post them within three days in a civilized manner and include a detailed description (involved drivers, lap/split, own point of view). We will then review the particular replay and announce possible penalties.

In case you want to create a short replay including the incident, use mpredit.

Description:
  • RiceBurner braking early and in time, but not hard enough
  • RiceBurner is too fast to hold inside line and makes contact with Myster, causing a chain reaction
Evaluation: misjudgment of corner-entry speed
Penalty(ies): warning only, because his error wasn't grossly negligent to us
Because it doesn't really fit in some headwords, we'd like to address the yellow flag behavior during the accident in the last chicane of lap one. The rules (§3.3.2) say "If you approach an accident, slow down[...]Do not try to pass with full throttle." but if you watch the replay from danowat's cockpit view and have a look at the throttle gauge, you can see him continuing to accelerate and narrowly missing (significant rate of luck) a stationary car despite of yellow flags and a clear view - this is just not acceptable and leads into a warning for him.

Same applies to E. de Souza who is passing very closely with his foot on the accelerator, although we admit sudden braking would probably have caused him to get rear-ended by DaveWS. However, this shouldn't be an excuse because latter could see yellow flags early, but decided to follow without a sufficient safe distance regardless of very limited view and spotted Jouman's car so late that a major impact would have been inevitable - pure luck saved him from an accident.

Thus we appeal to you to mind the simple formula "unclear situation = lift the throttle, slow down and show extra prudence" in the future. To fully understand our point, please take a few minutes to watch the replay from danowat's, de Souza's and DaveWS' cockpit view with normal (1x) speed as static pictures cannot deliver a proper impression in this case.
