i think speed traps are an excellent idea, so that you can tell what people are doing speedwise at a certain part of the track also the citydriving guys would like them especially if it was possible to output what speed which car is doing throug each speed trap to an external prog so a prog can see if the speed is over an amount specified in the prog, and the give a penalty or even a note to the cops

Well in drifting competitions the entry speed is a good thing to measure for comparison, so.. useful
