Official Statement on Matters During Round 4 of LFS GT
Last week's LFS GT race at Aston GP (round 4 of the season) was the reason for a heated debate between drivers, teams and also the administration. This is a situation we always try to avoid, but not everything that is not supposed to happen can be avoided. Therefore we did a more indepth investigation of the matters that resulted in the mentioned discussion. This investigation took place even though there were no official complaints filed. Normally incidents must be reported in order to be reviewed. These are our findings:

First of all, we need to address the issues involving the teams during the race and immediately afterwards.

#44 Synergy Racing receives a 1min time penalty to be assessed on the overall results for taking out #77 Mercury Racing entering the combination of corners just before split 2 during lap 56 of the race. Synergy was not in a position to attempt a pass at this point and time. Synergy should have waited until the straight after split 2 to pass the lower class car. On top of the penalty, #44 Synergy Racing is put on probation for the remainder of the season due to the recklessness of the maneuver. Another such incident will result in a ban from LFS GT.

#42 Scirocco Players receives a one lap penalty on the overall results for taking out #77 Mercury Racing entering turn 3 during lap 17 of the race. ScP not only came from way to far back in order to attempt a pass and also hit Mercury a second time when starting up again after the spin that resulted of the crash. This is reckless and negligent behaviour, totally ignoring the fact that lower class cars also have a race to run. ScP is also put on probation for the next race.

#99 Oxygen Racing is disqualified from round 4 of LFS GT and suspended for next race due to no preparation at all and being a danger to all other teams during all race. This is a disrespectful behaviour to anyone involved with LFS GT.

#77 Mercury Racing is disqualified from round 4 of LFS GT due to disrespecting the 45min rule.

#20 gets a 30s penalty on the overall results for chatting during the final minute of the race.

Raymond Mooney is given a warning for disrespectful behaviour and bad language during the race. Another such incident will result in a 5 lap penalty for the team and a race ban for R. Mooney (in LFS GT).

In general we would like to ask all teams and drivers for more respectful behaviour on and off the track. Not only must the GT1 class teams respect the fact that GT2 class cars run a race as well, everyone also needs to calm down if incidents happen. Namecalling, bringing up other league issues and most of the stuff that happened after the race are not the way to resolve issues.

Now, as we said in the opening paragraph, mistakes were not only made by teams and drivers, but also by the administration. The server organization before and the discussion after the race were not handled as professional as it should have been and we apologize for that. The rules should not have been edited, even though it was a cosmetical edit, as long as incidents are being discussed. Also edits of driver's posts will not be done anymore.

As a consequence, the rules will be reviewed and revised in the places necessary. This will be done before the next race. Also procedures for rules changes and such things will be put in place so everyone can at all times check which changes have been made.

We hope this clarifies the issues and strengthen the teams' trust in the administration. Most of all, we hope everyone can enjoy the remaining races of the season.

Nice statement, thanks for the effort in fixing this.
#3 - need
Yep, nice statement
Now maybe we can get back to the point of the whole thing....
Namely - Racing
good job, this should be clear for everyone.

Now show your competitors a bit more respect on-track and off-track and it will be more fun for everyone involved.
For the record, I take exception, not to the ruling but rather to the implications added in the end comments.

I will, however abide by it without comment beyond this posting.
Now that we have an official statement how about an official race-result?
You'd say it would be time for it, huh? I'll make sure the results are posted as soon as possible.

Cool, I'm blind
Sorry about that it's been a busy time the last few weeks here trying to get more hours into this.
