Quote from SamH :When you've got Jak headed at you, and you're trying to slow down for a rather odd L-shaped chicane, believe me.. it's evil

LOL, i braked to late and kind of wrecked Sam...
I remember it well. Outside lane of the M62, dropping down towards Halifax.. me and my mate Pete in my nice new Audi 90..

Pete: Corr.. you can hardly hear the engine at all!
Me: Pete, the f***in' engine just seized, that's f***in' why!

Oh happy times!

I think that was the day we both realised, you were destined to become a UKCT driver

...wasn't i just a UKCT driver then?

CONSPIRACY!
Not a very good UKCT driver...

Boom Tish...
Quote from SamH :[edit] oh.. and.. do you want it to occasionally pick the oval? Bear in mind that oval reversed will have that strange layout that Hyperactive created (unless someone can tell me how to remove it)

I wouldn't mind it occasionally picking the oval.

Just delete the .lyt file on the server to get rid of the layout.
Quote from SamH :It's actually useful, most of the time.. especially if people are habitually taking shortcuts on tracks you run. I wouldn't want to see it removed, tbh.. it's just when you run more than one type of server off one executable that it could *potentially* be annoying.

might be ... but it annoys me that its the same in singleplayer ... and the only way to permannently get rid of it seems to be to save an empty layout which is wrong in so many ways
a list of default layouts in the server config would be a better idea
I added a new feature to these servers tonight, I hope you like it

I'd tell you what it is, but if I did, you wouldn't have to go online and see what it is
..and there's more to come
Sam, PM me what it is! My PC decided to die so I'm on this lovely, oh so sexy, OS X.

I think I preferred the less miserable Kev that smoked
i love thos server ... had lots of fun tonight especially one race on so1 which had me smiling all the way through till the end (i dont even remember who won the fight it doesnt really matter anyway)
but but but - I was very conscious to develop these applications not to spam *cry* Oh well, I can't help but have my ice cream with chocolate chip in, i'll leave the vanilla for you Kev
I enjoyed SO1 too, although I'm really not consistent. Pretty competitive mostly, but it seems that about once every 6 laps, I stuff it up in that chicane

I try and try, but I can't get fond of the FZ50. It's too cumbersome for me, I think. My failing rather than the car's.

i mostly use it to drive something different than the lx everybody uses ... plus i enjoy the different nature of it
although most tracks ive raced today pronunced its shortcommings rather than its strenghts

Ride the whale baby
There's no such fine thing as a 3.6 litre engine in the rear of the car going straight for the left wall before the So1Rev-chicane while you are trying to somehow make the car not crash .
I love the boat.

Vain
SO1 was great fun, esp with the shifter, i just kept missing the gears

Going from 6th>3rd>2nd + Full Throttle was fun though!
Quote from SamH :Buy a Ford Escort, then you can try driving a car in embarassment too!

Yeah, I remember those days when I had to rev my 1000kg of bullcrap for 10 minutes in the schoolyard to get the engine warm enough, so I could leave without risk of car stalling in the first traffic lights. And that didn't happen in winter, no, because it didn't even start if it was colder than +2°C. After that car I swore I'll never drive a Ford, but in last summer I unloaded couple of hundred out of a ship, and found out it's still a crap car. S-Max handled better than Focuses though
