It's been reported in some comments before, not sure if there's whole threads about it though. It's a known bug for quite a while.

Quote from rane_nbg :why it will never actualy be done.

It was done until Scawen took it down.

Quote from Eclipsed :Not everyone - most people have healty perception and can tell apart game and real world. However there will be always few black sheep who will think "hey,I was racing through flowing traffic in a simulator and nothing happened,I'm sure I can do that also in real life." But sure, let's forget about these black sheep and make shit out of one of the best racing sims by completelly turning it into some cruising game!

Yes exactly, let's make up imaginary unrealistic scenarios to try and convince others to agree with my stance on not wanting to add features to a video game.

Jesus christ

Just say you personally don't want this feature and move on, no need for the hysterics.

Quote from Eclipsed :Second - I would still not go that far to promote street racing on actual traffic as unmature minds may try that in real life which might end with bunch of [...] coming at you head on with high speeds.

Man this forum keeps on coming up with new ways to dumbfound me...

With that logic, the millions of kids worldwide who played GTA or Call of Duty should be shooting everyone they see in the streets? Get over yourself lol

Run a Malwarebytes scan or clean install Windows.

Quote from JayDeM :No, but all I see is people having constant issues on old hardware. old hardware.

Not an LFS issue, a $50-100 computer from Facebook Marketplace/Gumtree/Craigslist will be able to run it.

It's like complaining Grand Theft Auto 6 doesn't run on your Playstation 2... Get a PC from the past 10 years and you won't have any issues, if you refuse to upgrade from a dual core Windows Vista-era PC then that's on you.

Quote from gu3st :Funnily enough with the new hosting system, it's probably in a better state than ever for Steam

Still don't think it's the right move to give away 30% of what is probably fairly modest revenue though.

70% of something is better than 100% of nothing.

Quote from zeeaq :Funny to hear periodic bursts of concern for the game from people who've abandoned it in the first place. It makes no difference where the game is, certain people won't play anyways.

"people who've abandoned it" Dude, people can't play the same game for decades with slow updates, minimal developers, no publisher and no 3rd party platform support. It's not abandoning when the developers practically encourage the community to die off.

It should've been added to Steam a decade ago, that's not the on the users. That's a developer problem...

Very nicely made video, now just need to work on advertising on getting the video out to the masses Smile

Any computer made in the past decade will run it fine, anyone who will complain needs to upgrade their PC. There's PCs on Facebook Marketplace for $50-100 that will run this game for many years to come.

S3 is worth it for the mods alone

Quote from farcar :LFS is a niche within a niche. It's almost a cult game at this point.
Slapping it on Steam won't achieve much at all, other than hiving off 30% of revenue to Valve.

30% revenue to Valve on the thousands of new sales is still a large profit increase, would've been tens of thousands of new sales had it been added to Steam many years ago like has been suggested numerous times on the forums throughout the years.

But also Scawen has said repeatedly that LFS on Steam would've work with his development infrastructure and how he develops the game, which is understandable and fair enough. There's pros and cons to be sides of the argument with no easy answer either way.

Quote from johneysvk :i might be wrong here, but wouldn't decompressing mp3s use more CPU time?

Potentially, but a nonexistent issue on modern computer hardware.

Quote from mayke_ :estou tendo o mesmo problema.. podem mim ajudar a resolver ???

Try deleting the following registry key: "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Live for Speed" and reinstall LFS after.

It's not really the amount of mods that's the issue, it's the lack of filters and sorting in the mod menu.
BeNoM

Agreed, the main mod menu isn't functional when the servers aren't working.
