Don't know if it's only me or related to mods only, but everytime I load a custom .eng file for a modded car, it doesn't stay on everytime I go to spec mode/pits and it goes by back to '?' (default engine sound made by the modder) everytime I rejoin the track
is there a way to make my custom eng file to be the one opened by default? I tried to save with the mod prefix in the name (ex: 82B303_enginefile) but it didn't worked
or this is maybe something that's not supported for now?
I submitted a v2 with the following changes :
- Edited the dashboard a bit, inverted water temp gauge with fuel gauge
- Moved driver position to be centered with dashboard
- Rollcage is now paintable
Hey there! here is the car i'm currently working on, an LX car based on the infamous LX8 GTR from 2005
I tried to match the engine to the 2005 version at first but realised it was too overpowered, so I reduced the power to match the current GTRs in term of power-weight ratio (specs in the attachement)
It also got bigger wheels/tyres, slicks, wider body to fit the new tyres specs, I also removed the carbon texture from the front mudguards so now it will match main body's colors
I also added downforce physics to it so it could compete with the GTRs in the turns and not only in a straight line, there's no spoilers on the 3D model right now so downforce is purely ingame physics.
also I need to tweak the aerodynamics value inside the editor cause the LX is sticking like glue to the road and it's almost too easy
Here's me driving a lap on Blackwood with it
Hope you guys will find the mod interesting even if it's just basically a tweak mods with some body modifications, but it's a very fun mod to drive!
I always loved the LX cars and always wished a driveable version of the LX8 existed
also don't mind the bluetooth mirrors and the lack of windshield, it was just me messing around with the editor, it won't stay like that (but I quite like the look if i'm being honest )
btw Scawen, is the editor something you made specially for mods purpose or is it the "real" software you guys used to create the OG cars? just being curious there
Also didn't found any other topics about that so sorry if this was already posted
Was just fooling around in Solo mode and somehow I hit the tyres that are near the pit entrance, and noticed that they doesn't do any damage to car body and suspensions, even if I hit them at a high speed
So this bug happened to me today,
Was spectating someone in an UF1 and was editing the engine sound of it with the editor
He left and disconnected while I was editing the sound and the camera switched back to my FZR
Thing is, now the game consider that my FZR have UF1 sounds and can only read .eng files having the UF1_ prefix (see pictures in attachements)
Only my FZR was affected until I tried to leave the server and get back on it, but now all the FZRs there now loads only UF1 sounds
Also tried to reboot the game, but same results
Didn't tried to reboot my PC, might work but i'll try later, since it isn't really a gamebreaking bug
Install a fresh version of LFS somewhere else than your current LFS folder, rename the exe to something like "LFS_Old.exe" and copy & paste it in your current LFS folder.
Actually had some fun with Pro Tweak and the current LX6, made it a 3.0 i8 instead of 6 (couldn't make it a V engine but still), added some slicks tyres and it was actually really fun to drive
