CTRA Reporting Guide
This is a guide on how to write a good report. If you want to know exactly how to use the reporting system to make sure you're giving the right information (and therefore giving us something we can take action on!) then please read.

The system has recently been changed - you can enter and store your report, but you must go to MYCTRA to hit the Submit link. The guide will take you through this.

Can We Have A CTRA Demo Server? (Christofire) DELETED by SamH : Reason for no demo changed
How is CTRA pronounced?
After a thread asking this very question, the pronunciation internally is see-tea-arr-ay, i.e. the letters said individually.

A more graphical representation was given by Lateralus here. (thanks!)

Now, how you pronounce his name is an entirely different kettle of fish, and it's nothing to do with us.
Why Don't the Stats Make Sense?
The statistics have been gathered over a fairly long period of time. As time has gone on we have started tracking new stats as new data became available / we saw the opportunity.

This means that some of the stats have been collected from the start of CTRA, some have been collected from part way through. The stats are provided on a mostly "for fun" basis, and although it may be looked at in the future it'll stay as-is for now.

How Are Points Calculated?
There are a great many factors taken into consideration when awarding points. We haven't and don't plan to make the algorythm public, but to give you a bit of an idea, the following factors are considerations:
Did you race from the start, or join later?
Did you finish the race on the lead lap, or one or more laps down?
Did you cause an obstruction frequently in the race?
How many people took part in the race?
How close did you get to the lap record for the car/track combination?
What licence level are you at?
What licence level is the server?
How many laps was the race?
There are other factors as well, but this summary should give you an idea of the complexity of the points calculation
