translation of the german text from bc-racing.de forum:
Quote :The final preparations for the upcoming 24 hours of Kyoto GP have begun with the first of three test races.
During yesterday's intial contact contact between drivers and team things heated up for the first time.
Beside the usual fight for positions and struggle for positions, it was also important for the participants to learn more about the competetion and their strategies.

The excact findings will of course remain secret. Just one thing seems already clear: Neither UFR nor XFR will be able to extend a stint longer than 35 laps. Obvious seems also: On one of LFS most beautiful tracks, during the 24h the team that makes the fewest mistakes might have the biggest chance on a good result. Large run-off areas might fool drivers into a false sense of safety, still a detour through the grass can cost the lead or many hard gained seconds.
The asphalt in Kyoto might be wide but like other tracks this Grand Prix circuit only has one ideal fastest line.
This might be where some teams see the biggest potential: It will not be so much about trying to squeeze the last 1/10 seconds out of drivers and setup.
Instead focus will be on constant driving and flawless stints without mistakes.

Unfortunately the test race continued one negative trend: For the other car class there was not much interesst from the teams. Only one LX6 could be seen on the starting grid. That is too little, by far. As hosts of this event we know that many teams wait until the end to confirm their sign up.
Competitors wanting to sign up in the LRF class should do so until the 12.01 at latest.
Should there be less than five LRF starters then this class will be canceled.

Positive news come from the technical department.
The old and discontinued "LFS TV Director" will be replaced!
For the first time a newly developed variante by Klaus Adam will be used. The DoP livetiming tracker is now able to relay teans and positions to the new "DoP-TV-Streamer."
For the livestream this means: Up to date positions and correct team names.
With the old tool informations could be wrong as the old TV-Director was not able to handle disconnects.
We are happy that beside the DoP-Tracker, the DoP-Hud we can now introduce another tool that hopefully teams, drivers and audience will enjoy.

Next up on the DoP schedule are another two test races and then finally the qualification.
If you want to take part then sign up. There is still some space on the start grid. So let's go!

At the moment 16 Teams signed in. With some spontaneous Sign-In's in the last second, we except within 20 Teams in this 24h Grid. So, in these silent times around LFS Sim Racing it is a very good Quote. Really good, thx to all participants.
