Session: Stock Car 250
Time Code of Incident (start - finish): 27:18.17 to 27:24.27, lap 36 turn 1
Drivers Involved: 23, 45, 52
Description: 23 hit 52 while 3 drafting, both drivers lock side by side, 23 hit the wall, tried to regain control, no attempt at braking, stayed full to half throttle and tried to regain the racing line. At time of incident 75% of track was open for 45 to pass, had 45 hit the brakes he would have compounded the incident by driving into the bundle, 45 took low line, but 23 drove deliberately in front of him, at no stage during the incident he tried to brake. This is a direct violation of the Clean Driving Rules stating that cars should be stationary after an incident. Also a violation of Clean Driving Rules whereby which he simply continued without attempting to wait for 45 to pass him. 45 drove full speed in 23. After incident 23 continued trying to rejoin, and could've hit 96 in similar manner than 45.

Lastly, a general protest:

1) It seems like admins are trying to artificially get an all Green race, by not throwing yellows - this changed drastically from previous races, why?
2) It seems like admins are not willing to give instant penalties for being afraid of loosing drivers. I do find that certain drivers gets unfairly 'picked' on, such as number 00.
3) Lack of practise races where incompetent drivers can be identified
4) The more admins loose motivation to run leagues, the less drivers will take part, the less penalties are given, the more the league will loose cautious drivers
5) Cancelling practise sessions and changing schedules due to a perceived lack of drivers is unprofessional and will not help the league to grow.

Initital incident is caused by the 23 making contact with the inside wall. This collects the other two entries to his right. The 23 attempted to continue following this incident after his car straightened up, but again lost control and slid down the race track resulting in contact with the 45 car.

LFS issued a yellow flag warning to the 45 car 5 seconds prior to the contact with the 23 and Race Control issued the caution flag two seconds before contact.

This is a racing incident as these are all accidents and nobody gained anything in these instances of contact.

There is slight contact as the 23 moves up the race track into the 53 through turn 3. This contact is avoidable, and because this results in a loss of time for the 53 and an advantage for the 23. A 10 point penalty will be assessed to the 23 car following this event.

We at Realistic NASCAR only throw cautions if it is deamed that a caution flag will help drivers not already involved in an incident. Directly from the Realistic NASCAR Rulebook comes the following statement.

"3.1 Yellow flags will be thrown if it is deemed that the slowing of participants would reduce the possibility of competitors receiving major damage due to a disabled or out of control race car. Drivers are asked to unblock chat messages under yellow flag periods if Teamspeak is not being used for an event. Chat will remain closed unless a competitor is asking for permission to speak. See Figure 6.
"3.2 The calling of flags will solely fall upon the hands of the administration team, and this will be achieved via the flagging system unless competitors are told otherwise."

The track behind the 00 was clear for some 30 seconds. We've done this time and time again. The 45 was removed from the racing surface immediately when the crash happened and therefore a caution flag would not have halped any of the other competitors.

The 26 also caused an incident later in the race which lead to a drive through penalty for that driver. Following the event the 26 car will be assessed a 20 point penalty on top of the in-race penalty.

I have been in charge of running all of the practice sessions in all previous rounds and I have been (between work and school) unavalible over 70 hours a week. This was not true until the first of March, and this is what forced me to remove the license requirement from the Fern Bay 150. We will be working to alleviate me from all of these responsibilities so that we can continue having a proper number of practice sessions moving forward. We just havn't quite found a way to do this yet that works. We will be working towards this goal again as soon as possible.

We treat all drivers equally when they are placed under the same circumstances.
