2012 Open Testing
Realistic NASCAR would like as many drivers possible to participate in our open testing for the World TBO Championship Series. The series its self starts in September, but the restrictions will be finalized on August 1st. We'd like to move the FXO over to weight restriction as to even up the different corner speeds with it and the XRT, and to reduce tire wear which proved to be an issue in the FXO on the front. Before we do so, we'd like to have as much information as possible so that we can make an informed decision for Season 2 that will benefit everybody involved in the series.

We are asking that drivers (on or offline) drive one of the TBO cars (see below) for any amount of time. We ask that they push the vehicle to its limit, and run as quickly as they can for anywhere between 15 min and 75 min. Once complete we need your SPR or MPR posted here for our review.

Tracks desired: AS7, KY2, BL1, WE1
Cars desired: (FXO + 40kg), (FXO + 5%), (RB4), (XRT + 1%), (XRT + 10kg)

Please only test in a car that you could see yourself participating in. For example; if you can't drive a FWD car quite at the speed that you can a RWD car, don't test in the FXO. Same works the other way around as well.

You will not be able to take a bad set-up or "sandbag" to skew the restrictions and handicaps in the World TBO Championship Series, so don't try it!

Thanks for the help. Cars and tracks will be posted or removed as we have acquired enough information to make a good determination. Replays may be posted here as well as discussion. Thanks for the help everybody.
Hey Cornys, I can help with this. I can do it in my own time so not tied into an event time slot, works for me.

Will let you have the everything you need when I've had a play.

Sounds good . We can use all of the data that we can get, and I don't want my own personal testing to be the only information that we get this year's restrictions from
I really wouldn't try the fxo with 40kg, cos its weakness is already its tyres and okay with a good set it can work - 40kg would kill it in terms of being fun I think. I would have thought same restrictions as last season but with a few kg on XRT could be the way to go. I will give it a go at some point though. Uploaded the only set all season I had that was even close to decent also

I'm getting all the ducks in a row as soon as possable. I'm busy through the Summer and Spring with Baseball family and school. I'm on break now, so I'm ready to get some work done so I don't have to do it later

Edit: Also, we might have a special event towards the middle of the summer. Shhh, don't tell anybody because we're not for sure on that.

Not plannaing on that . Willing to make that ajustment if it is though
tbh I was pretty sure that RB4 could have pwn last year, same as FXO. Simply fastest driver prefers XRT (N I K I is XRT specialist for example).

I think that last year's restrictions were the best I have never seen in TBO. Adding ballast would be a really big handicap for those car because they are really bad with tyres (as Isaac said), so that would overheat tyres worse so basically those cars wouldn't be the best option.

If I review last year schedule, XRT was certainly the best option for KY2 and KY3R (fast track) but FXO wasn't that far (especially in KY3R). RB4 thanks to its power should have been good aswell. Blackwood was clearly for RB4 and Fern Bay should have been something between RB4 and FXO but not XRT for sure.

Then it is quite the same problem as FXR for GTR, XRR and FZR are RWD and are more difficult to drive (it's gone worse for TBO). FXO is FWD so something really safe to drive, RB4 is more dirty but it produce a phenomenal motricity and is quite safe to drive aswell thanks to 4WD. XRT has nothing for it, turbo + RWD + bad tyres = so much fun but quite hard to handle. So a good driver with a perfect restriction will be as fast with all these cars, an average driver will be faster with FXO.
