6 Hours of Kyoto National: Drivers' Briefing
Clutch:
Use of button clutch will result in the loss of all laps by the offending driver, and may result in further penalties if it is found that the driver did not act alone (i.e., if the driver was encouraged to use it by his team).

Drivers will still be allowed to use manual clutch, but must select "Axis" in the Options->Controls menu.

As a shorthand way of looking at it: EITHER "Clutch" must be set to "Axis" in the Options->Controls menu, OR "Auto clutch" must be set to "On" in the Options->Driver menu. In the LFS Stats flags field, this will mean that by your name Flag will say either Clutch (for autoclutch) or AxisClutch (for manual pedal clutch). If the Flag field is empty, we will know that you are using button clutch.

Start:
The start will be split between the classes. GT2 will start some distance behind the GT1 field, with a separate starting command.

Pit Exit:
When exiting the pits, drivers must go around on the apron in oval T1 before joining the racing line. There are cones and poles indicating where to rejoin. There are no such restrictions on pit entry.

45% rule:
GT1: 102 laps (1:35.5 avg)
GT2: 96 laps (1:40.5 avg)

IRC Change!
GameSurge (the service which our normal IRC channel resides on) is going to be undergoing maintenance today which would make it impossible to use it. We're asking people to please join #moequake on instead: irc://irc.quakenet.org/moequake
Thanks, and sorry for the inconvenience.
Also after people have asked about the no restriction pit lane entry, under no circumstances should you join the pitlane entry coming off the bank oval corner.

It should be like previous years where you use common sense and you should join the pitline entry using the following example.

If people are caught cutting the pitlane entry by joining from the bank oval corner they will be dealt with by the admins.

Teams please take note of the change at the bottom of the driver's briefing regarding IRC.
