Well it is a fact, if it wasn't for women's "needs" we wouldn't have reached current levels of ability to pollute. It all started with "simple" things like "why can't we get a bigger cave like the bears on the other hill have?" and was shortly followed with "not tonight, I'm cold" and next thing you know we're breeding scientists who tell us that the sun makes us warm.
Nope - haven't seen any - actual racing videos are pretty scarce so far and usually boring oval stuff, mostly practice laps showing off the circuit racing.
You're likely right though that in races it might be constrained - sounds silly though: there's nothing oval-only in the Legends' car, I can understand the built-to-turn-left-Mad-Max-like SK Modifieds being only in ovals, but not the Legends.
Nah, I mean in the iRacing videos on youtube - ajp71 got it. I was given the impression that the Legends' car was locked to ovals only, however I saw a video of someone driving it at Lime Rock I think.
Anyhow - I'll stand by the 'pricing policy not for me' crowd. I've got enough toys to keep me busy when I'm so inclined.
The above, low quality, video shows 3 different cars - even has a radical in it which bounces along quite a bit at Lime Rock, perhaps the suspension setup wasn't too good. Pity about the frozen inanimate driver in the T-cam view. In the front suspension close-up of the radical it seems to be ok again, despite the clipping between the spoiler and the track surface that occurs pretty often, it also shows some damage modeling towards then end where he loses it, sadly he don't zoom out to see the extent and if it's pre-defined.
Also in the related videos I saw people racing the Legend cars in normal circuits - what's all this about them being oval-only (it's even mentioned in the SRT preview)?
And I was wondering about this one that deggis linked up there - it's a TV cam view of the same in-car lap he linked. I guess I'm not the only one that found the motion of the car weird - especially that odd dip during shifts.
What's funniest is that if you look at the brochures for National Rail they actually advertise a specific (and very expensive) folding bike brand on them: Brompton ("lifestyle" photographs included!). Two other brands that are worth looking into (and cost much less for similar quality), according to friends, are Dawes and Dahon.
Which brings to mind the philosophical complications of what such an activity does to one's psyche and how it affects the ego and going to a social level how the people around such a person are affected. Not to mention the whole psychology behind making the announcement of intent to ride a bike - how does that tie in with intent to other activities - where does it end?
In that case you have to upload your skin in www.lfsworld.net - log in there with your webpassword and username and then select the "my online car skins" icon.
As far as I know automatic multiplayer skin distribution is a feature/service only available to licensed users. Makes sense too, since it costs bandwidth. If you want friends of yours who play the demo to see your skins you'll have to either send them to them manually or host them online yourself and have them download them from there.
- Get a bicycle that fits you perfectly. Wrong size or geometry will be painful and annoying.
- Adapt your clothing or you'll end up reaching wherever you go in a sweaty mess. Very light outershell when it's chilly/drizzling and wool clothing as much as possible, it dries out quicker. Consider what sort of bags you'll use for transporting things - if you'll be using a rucksack/backpack make sure it has a firm back to it.
- Get a bicycle that fits you perfectly. Wrong size or geometry will be painful and annoying.
- Get rechargeable batteries and strong LED lights (I'd recommend "Cat-Eye" as a brand). Don't go the dynamo way if you want something efficient/dependable that will give you decent visibility as well.

I think you just stop where there's adequate detail for people to actually be able to distinguish specific and important traits of a track in as much as visiting gives a sense of familiarity.
Having done the scan as accurately as possible will give you all the bumps, dips, rises and the correct camber for turns, but eventually you'll end up having to approximate grip levels for the surface(s) of the track and other such parameters - and at some point you'll just run across limitations of the simulation platform you're making it for. For example, a track could be notorious for being in a windy area and dust being brought into the track ever so often - which sim could accommodate for that? So, in the imaginary scenario that you do visit the track (which is what all this realistic/accurate reproduction is about) you'd be in for an extra, possibly unexpected, challenge.
I suppose one could say that laser-scanned data is an "investment" for the future when simulation software becomes more accurate/complex as well - instead of carrying conversions of approximate track renderings from one platform to another like is being done now.
Because honestly with Eastern Creek I saw nothing different in it to the well-made scratch-built tracks (not conversions) that are available for rFactor. Especially the fantasy ones seem to carry more detail*. With "detail" I'm referring to the track itself and not the scenery necessarily.
* I suppose because the creators didn't have the pressure associated with not pleasing fans of a real track and being doomed forever and ever.
Indeed - he had completely calculated that his rear suspension could withstand a bang in the Armco and it would be better to do it before the pit entrance instead of after it. Just to spice it up a bit but not to overdo it.
I hope they've fixed that place Kubica did his stunt last year in Montreal. Or at least added a ramp there for some good air.
It's not you that should be worried really - they should be, because they formed both the N and the D wrong. It was visible okay from above with a camera, but when viewed from the ground it will be mirrored.
For some reason I can't stop snickering over that one. Did you wear that wee paper crown they got when you typed that? The whole mental image of that thumbs up after someone says that line with capitalized emphasis is surreal.
Only thing that could possibly top that would be a winking emoticon
