Woah - talk about flipping him one. Glad to read everyone is ok - shame about the bloke's car though.
What I'm wondering about is "where were the blue flags?" or, if indeed they were waved, did he think the blue flag only concerned the guy you were chasing at the time and thought the coast was clear?
Nothing wrong with it - but you have to concede it's an obvious advantage. And no, it's not a reason to hate a person. Very few things are and I don't quite see him possessing any of them. And yes, he did earn the McLaren backing by winning karting championships - it's not like they drew his name in a lottery.
Eventually, as I keep saying, it's just the hype that gets to people. I imagine if one of my countrymen was ever to reach his success in F1 we'd be so sick and tired of hearing about him we'd forget what he's successful at - especially considering how improbable that is.
Essentially because F1 is so intense that a good percentage of people wait with baited breath for the next interview, press release or casual comment more so than they do for the races. There should be a prattle championship to go along with the drivers' and constructors'.
I think it's more of an issue of fans reading what drivers say and soaking up on all the non-race related crap and then going out of their way to defend them as if they're on the team's payroll or something.
Uncalled-for aggressiveness is not as cool as the rest of the internet has you believing. Please reconsider your approach if you would like having discussions instead of pointless slugging matches.
Given the possibilities we have now - between Massa and Hamilton: I'd rather prefer Hamilton to get the WDC.
I could never get behind Massa's racing style. He really doesn't strike me as a racer and somehow he comes out too whiney. As a tarmac gladiator that he and his peers are supposed to be he hasn't ever provided any thrills although he does equal Hamilton on facepalm moments.
However, I'm probably being a bit harsh as the times drivers have been in races that weren't parades this year and thus granted them situations to actually race were very few considering the extended calendar.
It's called ballast. When Ayrton was alive Bruno weighed 30 kilos less than him and it's likely they wanted to have close racing = more fun and experience/training than just having the little shit stomping on the accelerator and disappearing?
Given the situation I'd assume that NKPro (at least the publically available version) is not really his source of income. Pity, because it actually has some very good features/implementations and it could of been both his source of income and fame.
As far as the clutch goes, I think it's been mentioned multiple times in the past that it's mostly an issue with the automatic clutch being overzealous and it shows up more with longer gears where it finds it necessary to slip for extended periods of time.
I didn't say you did. I only said that we don't beat ours.
That is not truly a solution if you're living with a dog, more of a work-around. Effective, yes but not quite the convenient thing.
The gordon setter that my landlord has and I've known from a puppy, has free access to my house and his all through the day, even when no one is around. He never goes though anyone's stuff, apart from his habit of bringing the dustpan to the cleaning lady as soon as he sees her. Again he was taught about having his area and his things.
Sort of - Carmen, the german shepherd (again), won't touch any of our stuff unless it is put in her area and presented to her. That's something we did from an early age - only gave her things in her designated area. Anything in other areas she won't pay attention to.
We had a problem with a young german shepherd at the farm chewing up specific hoses. At the time she was months old and pretty feisty and we didn't quite have the bond going on to convince her she shouldn't be doing it and she spent a good few hours per day alone there. The solution we came up with was to dilute a wee bit of pepper in water and spray the hoses. That stopped her.
However, a few months later she liked doing other naughty stuff like digging up vegetable plants and such but by that time she had sort of figured out the whole pack and leader thing and was over her rebelious phase and accepted scolding and a demonstration that the plants were of some value to us as a good reason not to do it. No, we didn't want to put fences up, she's part of the family and should have access to all areas.
No beating was involved. Beating is not a solution.
He's got a classic Dungeons & Dragons intonation. I'm half-expecting him to say "the 40 car has failed it's turn roll - it takes 5 gravel points damage".
Actually I found that bit pretty amusing and it don't distance himself from the average person using the program. It's kind of like watching James May do something that ends up in him saying "oh cock" and I think it's pretty obvious it was purposely added in there (or at least not edited out).
@Mp3 Astra
As a presenter: apart from the constant face-scratching (which btw is not a good idea as far as personal hygiene goes) you did a splendid job - very clear voice, looking at the camera and quite natural.
As a general presentation: considering this was the first (to, I hope, many) installment, you're doing it voluntarily (or at least the gun was off camera) I can't really find a pattern of things to pick on or criticize, so I'll give it a go whenever the next report comes up. Keep it up.
This happens when using any of the detection methods ATT provides? The one method has a "flicker" whenever it enables a profile and is the now-old method while the other does it instantaneously without flickers.
When I first installed my ATI card I had some problems (mostly things like waking up from standby causing issues, etc) but I went through and disabled all sorts of gimmicky things (like some "crash prevention" feature that CCC has an option for) and with the last drivers I used (8.4 as mentioned before) everything stabilized so I haven't bothered upgrading anything since and just go through creating game-specific profiles.
One idea to find out what causes the CCC not to start is to get procmon from sysinternals.com and monitor its process to see what errors it shoots out.
Another thing to check would be the ver of traytools that you are using - I recall having such issues with a 3850 until I used the beta ver which added support for the 3xxx and 4xxx series; there's a link to it in the TT forums. I'm not sure if that ver has been moved to stable now - I'll have to remember to check the ver number whenever I get home.
