Quote from Scawen :For me it's surprising that there are not more people excited about virtual reality in a racing sim.
It seems like what LFS has been made for!

That recalls some memories. Dated 2 December 2002 :

13 years ago people dabbled with VR and LFS as well Smile

Have you entered all the other information of the league as well? Perhaps it won't save because some other fields are missing.
Missing fields should be indicated with red text.

Thanks. I've adjusted that in the translation.

Ah no that was just a display bug - now fixed. PB recording takes open configurations into account.

Now you're just spamming. That's not the way to get someone's attention. Or well, actually, you got it, but with the result that you're banned for a month.
Sooo. not the result you were looking for.

You have to combine your IP with a mask :
12.34.0.0/255.255.0.0

With the mask you say "I only care about the bits that are set [in the mask]".

Nice. Yeah I saw the joystick/wheel bit, but .. there was wiggle room Big grin

Question :
sudo apt-get install joystick

Is that also for wheel configuration? Perhaps explicitely note that to avoid confusion? I'm seeing myself trying to install "sudo apt-get install wheel" Smile

Quote from askoff :Have any of you tried what hapens if you switch the virtual desktop in Windows 10? That might be something to take account as well.

Anyone tried this? I've been wondering the same thing.

Quote from Silverracer :I'm wondering if a button would appear if I had needed amount (3 GBP for 50 slots?)...

Yup, it did (if you ran out of slots).
Now there's always a button to add 50 more skins for 1 GBP, or if you do not have sufficient credit, a button to add more credit.

Quote from Matrixi :One good reason to go with W10... low-level GPU performance gains.

http://hexus.net/tech/news/graphics/85385-dx12-unreal-engine-4-elemental-demo-download-available/

That demo ran something like low 40 FPS for me on W7, now it's silk smooth 60 FPS with v-sync, 80-100 FPS when unlimited. Mind boggling difference.

Can't wait for games to start make use of DX12 performance.

Two and a half other things I really like :

Window focus is where you mouse is (a window doesn't have to be active in order for mouse wheel to work). OSX users will be familiar with it already.

Multi desktop - you can create virtual desktops (WIN + CTRL + D) and toggle between them with WIN + CTRL + left/right. Linux users will be familiar with it.

Classic case of better late than never Smile

And the taskbar works on all monitors and can be set to only show the programs that are open on that window.

Really they could've just put those features in win7 and it would've been great os for years. Aside from DX12 that is ..

Thanks. Fixed that by shortening long urls.
But fixed it better by now doing an url check before storing it. So the page needs to actually exist. And if it does, I believe the urls should be short enough in the first place (as per the format google uses).

Good one, added.

Thanks for the explanation, but I did know how png works and differs from jpg Wink
Though I did not know that LFS (or I guess directx) will load png just fine if you give it the jpg extension.

We'll see about all this when Scawen makes some time to do the skin download updates.
I like the idea of converting skins to dds on the server and gzipping them. The filesize is about the same as jpg then (even for 2048) but without lossy compression. It also has the added bonus that the LFS client doesn't have to do any conversions, leading to faster skin downloading / processing.
