Thanks. Couple more questions.
Where should I publish roster?
What is its format?
Can 3 drivers drive in a single race?

Do the GT500 and GT300 happen simultaneously? Assume my team has only two drivers, this means I can participate in either 500 or 300 not both am I right?

Quote from RobbyMac :Getting back into simming (since way back when Indycar2 was big)
Heres a couple skins I made recently.
The carbon fiber pattern is kind of big, but it looks good from a distance in the game. I had fun making the rally car all dirty.

Download Oakley Skin File (2048 x 2048)

Brilliant skin! I am using this online.

Quote from TaiLG8eR :I'll look into the other options mentioned I did get the first one working.

All I wanted was to have different speeds of cars on the track so there not all just in one single file line bumper to bumper.

Well I have saved a grid with all 19 cars (except what I am using) for AI. Select UF1, Add AI, Select XFG, Add AI, etc. So you will have all kinds of cars in the race. Make a slow->fast grid and the AI will pile up and crash in T1. Make a fast->slow grid with FO8 at start ad UF1 at the tail and they all win pan out

Edit: Oops, I did n't see you wanted to do this with only the demo cars.

Quote from GreyBull [CHA] :I belive there are very few Indians involved in simracing in general. Something like a year ago, there was only 1 on iRacing, out of member base composed of tens of thousands people. Now they are up to 10 - might well be a number growing slowly but surely.

Yes probably because racing is not as passionately followed here as, say cricket. But now with Force India and Indian GP on, I expect more people to get interested in racing and subsequently hopefully get involved in Sim Racing. Hey I am in iRacing too. So make that 11

Well I observed the admins were trying their best to give us a good racing experience. Good job team. Hope to do this again. I am personally realy sad that I could not race the main event since, I had to suddenly get out as an important engagement cropped up at exactly race start though I was looking forward very much to this race. Will wait for next event.

Quote from Bryan1 :
I'm trying to find a Telemetry tool for LFS. One that measures ride height, tyre temps, suspension and more like MoTec.
Bryan

A basic level of Live info is displayed when you press the following buttons
F - Graphical representation of Forces acting on each wheels and the car
F9 - Tyre temps (3 different points reading on each tyre), Tyre pressure, Clutch temperature and G-forces
F10- Level of damage of each suspension component
Shift+L - Live status - graphical of each suspension component

Why are you making AI slow by limiting top speed. That will only make them slow on straights. Why don't try setting the AI to say "OK"or "QUICK" level?

Hey murdoc,

You are welcome to race in my team server [PfH] GTR. We use GTR class. I assure none of us will boot you out for silly reasons or crash on to you. I am not saying we tolerate anything. Just race fair and clean and you will enjoy the visit. You will find nice people here

I see that you have played in ![AMG] GTi MotorSport. They have a GTR server called ![AMG] GTR MotorSport. It is also clean and fair and have nice people. But be very careful. Most guys are very fast so be very safe.

Good thing about the above two servers is vote kick/ban is not enabled. So only if the admin is convinced that you deserve a ban/kick, you will be penalised.

Apart from these, there are quite a few. Just browse them one by one,

Wow! I donno how he managed to control F08 with this extreme setting. Found it to be too twitchy. It is subjective I guess. Personally feel return rate should be between 40-80% of the steer rate. I also change my steer/return/limit according to track/car combo.

For AS3/FXR I use:
Steer rate: 0.79
Return rate: 0.41
Limit Multiplier: 1.01 - 1.03 (depending on setups)

My PB with this setting is 1:42.55 which is 1.95 seconds (101.8 %) outside the HL WR.

I use higher rates on tracks like Fern Bay where quick direction changes are required

I use much lower limit multiplier for RWD cars like FZR, XRR.

Just setting "Allow guests to select tracks" when starting your new host should solve this purpose if I am right.

If the problem you are having is over sensitivity of steering, try this:

Since you have a 180 deg wheel and the in game cars have higher degrees of rotation, your wheel movements will be exaggerated in the game.

You can try this, set your "wheel turn" in Options->Control to say "120" degrees. Then set wheel turn compensation to "1". Then you will get some linearity in the first 120 degrees of turning, but after that it will accelerate and max out the in game sterring when you hit your 180 deg lock.

The only other way to get absolute 1:1: linearity through out the rotations is to get a wheel with say 720 / 900 degrees of rotation.

Quote from jnich :thank you - both

wondering if I can make the other drivers in single player mode slower so she does not feel so inept ( same for me to tell you the honest truth)

regards

In the same page you add the AI's, you can select the AI "Skill Level" varying from "Beginner' to "Pro"

But even the "Pro" AI will be much slower than real life racers, but it is decent for beginners.

Additionally you can use G to flash your light as well.

In Multiplayer->Star New Host, you can provide the host name, and this will be the hostname visible to connecting users, so they need not use IP to connect to your host.

Hi,

I use the latest LFS release and have an S2 license. And In single player race as well multiplayer race mode, I used to get the racer name hovering on top of the cars in a race. But from yesterday, I don't find those names. So I have no way of knowing which racer is driving a particular car in a race. Is there any setting I need to change? I could not find any,
