lol my definition of rice is

Modification to a car that is a failure ie
eg
giving a FWD a rear wing ....

basicly if you modify a car for for what ever reason if its not a improvement over standed i would call it rice.

like trist said car manufactures make cars for what they are designed for but alot can be improved over standed form eg
new XR6T ford falcon comes with 18's/19's standed the car handels better and is faster on 17's with a higher tyre wall and lighter rim not to mention is more comfatable on the road

in my daily driver if someone is tail gating me/ siting on my bumper i will brake hard and even slow down to 20kph in a 100kph zone this works alot of the time but sometimes people will get even closer and refuse to over take thats when i hit the brakes as hard as i can so they hit me (no one has hit me hard yet).

as for truck drivers i think NT australia has it worst we used to get over taken by B tripples when we were doing 170KPH on a two lane road thats scary as hell

i personaly hate the look of the new gtr compaired to the 33 and 32 but you just cant go passed how fast the R35 is

lol manual box power loss is 5 to 17% auto is 20 to 35% power loss but on normaly the figers are
manual 14%
auto 25%
power loss :P

and most of the proper race circut cars use a manulized auto style box without a clutch

alot of games IE granturismo comes in mind were alot more realistic in the first few virson's and after that they became more of a empty shell to sell their design's to people rather then they physic's

i find the very last corner on BL1 is the killer if you get it JUST right you can fly around it in the XRT with a lowest apex speed of 115kph and full power befor the apex but if you make a mistake you either go sideways or hit the kerb.

the last corner alone in the XRT can make you 1/2 sec's or lose the same if not more. never really payed much attention to the other cars :P

exept the BF1 the speed differance that can be made on that last corner is extreamly high in that car

lol i get the same thing i get tired at like 9pm have to be up at 7am try to sleep dosent work decided to watch some movies at 12pm in bed 2/3 am still watching them decided to try sleep again then last thing i rember looking at the clock at 4 am waking up at 7am then same thing happends the next night.

lol for moding cars nothing beats street legal 1/2 even though with all the patchs sl1 was more realistic game allso you could drive around the streets like a nutter geting into cop chase's and racing people for slips/money

for driving around the streets with a GTA feel nothing beats mafia
and if you mod the game like i have you can get some really nice old school v8's that are kinda realisitc i mean my charger just fry's the tyres and is very hard and realistic to control

for rally games the best is RBR followed closely by rally trophy/rally legends was its 2nd name.

for sim road racing i cant compair games i havent played to lfs.

i was considering geting a G15 for running keycommands/ botten spaming for games but decided it was easyer and quicker just to script something in a program

lol should i watch bleach 203 or wait a few eps and watch a few in a row :P

its called a transbrake it utililzs 2 gears to allow you to load the engine up befor lauch.

and auto car is only quicker to a extent it
14 to 60 sec cars manual is faster
from 7 to 14 sec cars auto is faster
below 7 they dont really have a transmission just a bunch of clutch's IE top fuelers only have like 1 gear and 8 clutchs

lol the thermostat isent just their so the car can warm up its allso their to keep the car from overheating
a thermostat can be lets say for arugments sake 74 deg c

once the temp near the thermo is 74 deg it will open untill cool water has passed it again and it close's thus heats up the radiator while the water in the engine is warming up to said 74deg the water in the radiator is allready below that and keeps repeating the cycle.

older cars with alot of corusion have a tendntcy to make the thermo stat falty my 86 vl has never had one issue with heating problems because i flush the radiator every 1000k with deminrialzed water:P but my 91 daily driver thermostat failed blew the head gasket and welsh plug and split the radiator core a few times and still over heats cause of the head gasket.

but the heater trick works wonders


lol ill tell ya now having to remove the dizzy to remove the thermostat sux

sorry fixed it :P and yer the oil is milky and the radiator has split cause of it so has the welsh plug :P but its all good 20$ fix ftw

pull it out boil some water and on the thermostat it should have a number make sure u get it above that number if it dosent open either replace it or run it without it.

im running my daily driver without one after i blew the head gasket cause it wouldnt open :P

PS still running the car with a blown head gasket


also try flush the radiator through the top hose out the bottem through the engine without the thermostat if it wont go through it could have a block

lol you should only need 1 gasket and maybe 2 hours get a pic of the top radiator hose where it enters he engine

lol i wasent saying that it dosent seem realistic i was just saying its far to easy compaired to RL

the point i was geting at was discussed countless times about the tyres not acting correctly once they pass the limits of grip IE they still have to much grip this applys to straight line and while sliding

where is the fun in that ??? drifting even with proper wheel and steering wheel lock is far to easy in lfs compaired to RL :P
