Instead, what about making 2 qualify times (but it should only be possible to qualify in one of them) The one should be as normal, because those who already participates, have already proved that´s a ok time for them. For those few, who prefere another time, get the extra qualify possiblity. But DON´t change anything regaring the race it self. It will be bad.
Please, make things nice, easy and simple. Think, study and choose before writing complaintys here. Is it worth complaining about, write in the official complaining thread , so it will be treated in a good and hopefully right way. We have rules for this and we all have a responsibility for, that we keep racing as friends and competitors, not as enemies. Let´s keep it the friendly way.
Too much discussion is just frustrating for all parts and pulls the mood down. Not good for any league.
LFSNoob, I think you are a very good driver, but control your temper and take things more easy. We all have accidents, not just you. If someone is calling you anything disrespectful, write in the complaint thread, and I will take a look at it...else take it as "shit happens"
Then I think you should sign in again, if you will follow these advices and if you want to be a part of the league.
Agree with this! But I vote for option 1, as i often work day or night, also saturdays, so if it´s on the middle of the day, i can´t participate at all.
It would make it even more diificult to come to both qualifying and race, if it´s on different days. F.ex. I work every second saturday, so this way i would miss the qualifying! Keep it combined or make the qualifying shorter. f.ex. 15 minutes. People has already trained so much, so a decent time could be made in 15 minutes.
I believe you are right about you weren´t doing the same as the other team members. And I only commented this because I´m going to be in the race too, so it concerns me a bit too. I´m also a league organiser, so for me, it´s important that seriousless people don´t get involved in a league, which will destroy the joy and the seriousness for other teams, because they don´t have the will to be serious about it.
And as a team manager and owner, and kindly meant, I really can´t understand why other teams allow such behaviour at all, which is self destructing. So I would suggest to clean up a bit in the team, so others can feel that´s not ok, to have fun this way in the middle of a serious testrace.
Moo team is giving themselves a very bad reputation, which will decrease their chances to get involved in other leagues around the globe. Bad for them!,..I think they should hold on to Blackwood carpark and fool around there. How old are they?
Unity Mini League 5, 2nd october, race 2, 2nd - 3rd lap
After having viewed the accident several times from different angles and cars in different speed, I see the accident as an overoptimistic overtaking manoevre from Arnis side.
It is true what Arni said, that he tried to do it clean and got his nose in front. But that´s not enough, when the other car doesn´t have anywhere to go than into the tyres. LFSNoob tried his best to take the possible line to the very right. He is not obliged to break for an overtaking car, if he is in the raceline and he is not obliged to turn away from his line, if it means he will crash himself. The matter that Arnis car bounced the curve and therefore had a line which shut the door completely for LFSNoob, isn´t enough for saying it´s just a race incident. I see it as Arni took a chance, but misjudged the situation. But in top of that, he should recognice, that it was a high speed accident and a pretty risky manoevre, which easily could result in a big accident, as it did..4 cars got involved, and therefore I find it overoptimistic and careless driving..too eager! Arni, I know you didn´t want, but you did it wrong..(this time)
Sry, Arni..10 points penalty in the final standing!
I have made some changes to the results thread, so now you can still see the exact pointstanding as it is now, but in the same post there´s a link to Stats and replays, which Alias Frank Sonne is making for us thx!
Because of this, you don´t need the results to be shown in separate posts, because you can just see all the info in the stats. (So the previous results post is now deleted)
Another thing: I have made a new scheme called PROVISORIC RESULTS,
It shows the possible result, as it is now, when we take the worst MRT event and the worst UF1 event day away from each driver, including the penalty points, as written in the rules. It will be updated after each event. (Notice that things change pretty much this way and the competition is much tighter, than it seemed to be.
There´s no easy way to victory! :schwitz Look here
In the last race, we could use reset. The reason for this was that I found it ok, to make it possible to turn the car on it´s wheels, if it was on it´s roof. What I didn´t know, was that it also repairs the car and gives new tyres. In earlier versions of LFS, it didn´t reapair the cars, but now they have changed this. Not a very good idea after my opinion, because people can drive in a careless way and just get their car fixed. I don´t know, why they didn´t just let it be the way it was, which was much better.
Another reason for why I find the repairment as a bad idea, is that now it take the idea of having forced pitstop away. The forced pitstop should be a strategic factor and also the drivers advantage, when they avoid damages. With repairment in the reset option, the whole idea is vanished.
Therefore, I will not allow the reset option furthermore as long as it is, as it is.
So if you are severely damaged you have to get to the pit somehow. If you hump or use shift+p is your own choice. You are allowed to rejoin race after disconnect or after going to pit by shift+p. (but it doesn´t count as a forced pitstop, if you are using shift+p)
I have seen the replay from different views and conclude that Steen wanted to obstruct Whocares for overtaking him, but accidently did hit him, so he rammed into the barrier.
I don´t think the purpose was to hit him, but I´m sure he wanted to obstruct. If it has been just defensive driving, the move should have been before Whocares was on his side.
Therefore this is a Level 2 severity:This will result in a penalty of 10 points in the overall and final standing.
Not a satisfying race for me, because I could clearly see that I hadn´t prepared very good. I´m sure i could have done better lap times, if i had focused better on this in forehand. I was not able to defend my position at all from those who chased me. Only by driving stable times and good strategy, I managed to end in position 10, 7, and 6.
But On the next combo Uf1 at Fernbay Green I will bite!
Ps. Hotkeys, what happened to you? You disapeared from the server.
