Upgraded video card and poorer graphics!
Not really a cry for help, just pointing out something about a new graphics card;
I've gone from an ATI X700 which is over 3 years old now to an nVidia 8800GTS. Remarkable gameplay improvement with the likes of BioShock and MOH Airbourne... but not so much in Live for Speed.
Difficult to describe - I could run both cards at maximum settings up to a resolution of 1600x1200 and the X700 just looked better. Frame rate isn't the issue I'm talking about, just how it looks.
Possibly the 8800GTS is 'clearer' somehow and looking at examples like the barriers in the distance and the steel framework of the structure overhanging the start/finish at Westhill I get horrible moire patterns.
I'm guessing this is to do with anti-aliasing ... does LFS have anti-aliasing settings within the game?

Surely any compulsory graphic would mean that everyone is forced to alter their skin? Something that not everyone would be (able?) to do.

And it SHOULD be that if someone is late or they lag-out then the race continues. Sorry, its harsh but fairer to everyone (lag-outs has happened to me twice in other leagues and I understand that it is fair).
Can anyone explain the exact reason and benefit from a lag-lap? Oh, and I'd still like to see improvement in discipline on the lag lap and not use it like an excuse to play bumper-cars.

Its good that you found this and action can be taken. It is VERY sad that people do this.

The issues were in the lag lap, and also in Qualifying I definately feel I was bullied. I'm not going to complain.

Question - on the grid page here; http://www.lfs-tracker.de/quali_mode.php?league=130, I'm in "Next grid (3)". Does that mean Server 3?

AtomAnt - if thats directed at me I'm not sure thats right. My point is that I was given a -40 penalty for not turning up - I DID turn up and start but I got disconnected. I wasn't aware I got put to the back of the grid(?) and am not trying to flount any rule.

With the new patch I'm trying to get AI on Aston Cadet Rev in the MRT, I've driven a few laps, driven through the pits etc... but when I try to add an AI driver and start I'm told; "AI drivers can't yet qualify or practice because they don't know how to drive through the pit lane".
Slightly enbarrasing for them
so how do I teach them?
