Don't get me wrong, I would love to see updates more often.
Pretty much nothing would make me happier (OK, I'm lying, lots of stuff IRL would make me happier).
Anyway, I agree with some of your points too. Well, pretty much everything except public modding. Sure, there would be some great mods, but it's just not worth the trouble right now. Number of reasons for that.
I mean, some guy suggested this few pages back and gave an example of some 3D studio models to be used? I mean, come on!
No PC on this forum would give 20 FPS with one car like that, let alone a full grid.
Again, I would love to see this as much as you would, I'm just trying to point out the other side of the penny.
P.S. I am not a witch, I don't claim that I know what are they working on, just info on stuff I've read over the past 7-8 years here and oldRSC.

- Half assed mod - not good for anyone.
- Updating mod as game updates/lost of incompatibility issues etc.(sure, you might think it's not a problem, but not every incompatible patch has taken this long :razz
- Updateing mod tools for the masses again cuts off time for actually working on a game.
- Devs time they don't have to actually give support for mod tools.

Since it's laser scanned, you should be able to put as many cars alongside as you would in real life.
Of course it's not 1:1, it fits in your PC doesn't it.

Doesn't every vehicle do that on low revs with aggressive throttle work?
Given it's a car designed for track, most of the time he isn't in that range of revs anyway.
Most of his worries are in mid/high revs and low/mid throttle position.
I'm no expert on this, just saying what seems logical to me, so I could be very wrong.

This one doesn't go over 70° C under load and fan doesn't go over 57%.
I'm happy and have some room for overclocking
Edit: Luke, no, not really. It's said by manufacter that those are normal temps. My case has decent air flow, so that is not an issue. It's just that nVidia works hot like that unless you invest in better cooler or something.

Nope, everything running as it should.
It's the norm that they are around 85-90° C range under load and 60° C when I boot. That's just to much.
I can almost cook my launch with that.

Yeah, seeing as my XFX 8800 GT heats up like a mother****er (and that's normal working temp.), I'm gonna give ATi a chance.

I've got one little problem. When I exit the game, there seems to be some kind of brightness issue on desktop.
Everything is way to dark and I have to restart to get it back to normal.

Don't tell me you actually think Scawen sits in his room coding, trying things on his own, never talking to other people?
No man can do anything by himself (talking about complex things like this).
If he wants to be a single coder on a team, that is not because he doesn't want advice/different perspective on things. It's just so he knows his code and doesn't have to figure out what the hell someone else wrote (although as some others said before, it happens with your own code, too).
This is just my guess, but I'm pretty sure Scawen does indeed communicate with [who knows who].
He would probably be in a psychiatry care (is that the correct word?) by now if he tried to understand tires and physics on his own.
