People manage to get out of carparks and garages every day without someone to signal them when to go or even better, to hold them in place! I'm sorry, I can't think of any reason why LfS should take care of a situation caused by complete idiocy, really...

Yes, there are retards here and there who cause such crashes, but imo those people shouldn't be driving in the first place...

Quote from mr grady :Ive just seen a guy lose a winning position because someone joined midrace, left their garage and hit the leader in the pitlane, giving the leader a 30 second time penalty for "speeding".

i guess its a bug, but time after time people join and leave their garage right in front of racers.

can we have a system where you are held in your garage if another car is closing in by driving down the pits?

in a perfect world and if people joining midrace showed some courtesy by looking before pulling out of their garage we wouldnt need this, but hey, its an imperfect world!

In endurance races, there are quite some times when a car (re)enters from the pitbox, but I have NEVER seen anyone crash into a pitting car... Maybe increasing awareness would solve the problem?

Quote from Anzeee :I already did it, but it's nothing better... I have a feeling that shifter is stucked for some reason in sequential.

No, the other way round... The shifter uses two buttons twice: in H-gate mode its first and second gear, in sequential mode it's shift up and shift down... You've assigned those buttons with the H-gate gears and as the shifter doesn't lock into gear, LfS goes back to neutral as soon as you let go of the stick...

Head over to the Programmers section of the forum and get some scripts that automatically change the button assignment so you don't have to do it yourself everytime you change from H-gate to sequential and back...

Don't worry, all is well, the shifter in sequential mode isn't supposed to lock into place, but to bounce back to the middle position - like in RL, just without the feedback...

Quote from zeugnimod :How can you say that after last season?

He had both of that then and certainly didn't "fall apart".

May I remind you who you're trying to talk sense to?

Quote from deggis :I think improved physics / new features would gain more than a new track. Tyres plz and something mechanical damage related changes the experience on the old tracks too. Anything that makes the driving move a step away from this abusive wr hotlap style. E.g. imagine chicanes if you actually had to slow down for them.

Couldn't agree more...
Imagine brake heat and wear, engine & clutch damage (and wear)! Or at least ditch the .001-step adjustments already!

Quote from Dark Elite :Also, as far as the turbocharging goes, I guess that isn't allowed either:

Unless they plan for you to turbocharge a five-litre engine..

Sam

Well, it doesn't say it has to be a 5 litre engine... Just that the horsepower output and weight is fixed...

I've never been called a "Race Geek" before. It's probably an apt title, I think i like it.

Be sure to include that in your sig!

I too can't think of a reason a car manufacturer would make such a security oversight... Badly tuned ricer-cars on the other hand...

Quote from chavm481 :yup... ill just say that they are the closest approximate models... not the actual textures or the interior...

So? Will you finally notice we're talking about interiors here?

Quote from Electrik Kar :I reckon $156 a year is fine considering the average retail price for games in Australia is pushing $100.

Well, one is American Dollars, the other is Australian Dollars, no? If so, there is quite a difference in price (one and a half times more expensive)...

Maybe "Other Software", so not to call other sims games (what heresy!), and the FarCry 2 and Fallout 3 threads would have a proper place too...

You know that "interior" doesn't mean "the outside of" something, right?
