A number of strategies I hold....
1) Take a steady and balanced line, try to avoid large groups, and just respect other peoples spaces...if your going to be hit by an idiot then thats sod's law im afraid. Being too conservative is almost as dangerous as being wreckless, just do simple maths, if there are more than 2 cars abreast then someone is bound to come off worst.
2) If carnage is a certain issue at turn 1 and you never survive it, then you might consider starting from the pit lane, sure you will start about 10 seconds later but you will start on a clear track and more than likely catch straight back up to the back of the pack.
The only problem with this is that people using this tactic seem to make up extra time if pit stops are mandatory (Redline Racing 2 for example) you can just exit from the pits and make an immediate pit stop, then drive the entire race.
T1 is a nightmare, but its also part of the immense fun and enjoyment, skill and composure do have their part to play. But ultimately T1 is all about the Luck.

Initial reports are confirming that Colin was on board at the time. This has now been confirmed to press by his Wife Alison McRae.
Local glasgow radio claiming 4 people dead... I hate this - so much speculation and its just horrible . *edit* four seems very unlikely so hopefully just crappy reporting lol
Same here but you would have thought if he wasnt on board then he would have come public by now - also *maybe* more than one person involved - i just hope to god his wife and/or kids weren't involved either.

Tried it today.....dear...god.
First off, if thats how the M3 handles then thank christ i don't have one, i'd say its like driving the tank on TOCA lol, it's not too bad with the TC on level 1 and ABS but it kind of feels like cheating having them on.
Secondly, the internet lobby is a complete joke... i tried for 3 hours to get a race and all i got was application crashes, connection to server lost and connection to lobby lost... very poor.
Thirdly, I don't think you have a hope in hell of them adding any patches to it, which is a shame because it could be a great little free racing game, but at the moment... well its about as useful as the oval.

I have the same card fella, IIRC this is one of the borderline cards, it supports the feature but the implementation is rather poor so best left to off.

Normally I would take the attitude that "well its only demo so i couldn't care less" until i kind of remembered that racing extensively on the demo was the sole reason i bought LFS...

Formula One's legendary voice, Murray Walker is to commentate for BBC Radio Five Live from the European Grand Prix in Germany on July 22.
This will be Walker's first return to a UK commentary box since his retirement in 2001. Regular Five Live presenter Maurice Hamilton will be in the commentary box with Walker, with Holly Samos providing all the news from the pit lane, replacing David Croft whose baby is due that weekend.
Walker will also commentate on the qualifying session for the race on Saturday July 21, as well as hosting a special Formula One edition of the Five Live 606 phone-in, live from the Nüerburgring at 6pm that evening.
Commenting on new racing star Lewis Hamilton, who will feature in the race, Walker said: "I think that Lewis Hamilton will go on to be one of the greatest drivers of all time. There aren't enough superlatives for what he is doing race after race – it's extraordinary and unprecedented in the history of Formula One. I've been watching Formula One since it began and I have never seen anything like this in my life. I think it is more than feasible that he could win the championship this year, which would be incredible. I've only met him once so far but he is also a thoroughly nice chap."

Damn - well done :-) I'm a little unsure how I would get the PC to talk to the PDA without active sync or does the app take care of that - I have an Ipaq 3950 and I'm connected thru the USB cable.
