I tried the versions of blackwood in assetto corsa and rfactor 2. The feeling that I had is that I am driving in a racing game.

With the original Blackwood in LFS, I am racing for real. As I mentionned earlier I am using some tweakings to the FFB. The standard FFB in LFS needs to be updated. The simulator in all needs some updates too.

With all the "simulations" available today I am mostly using NR2003 for ovals and LFS for road. Period.

LFS is a great simulator. It lacks some things here and there but I think it's the best right now.

I am using it as a training tool and as a racing environement with a lot of practice sessions (and sometimes I want to stay alone on the track with my "christine").

The driving is perhaps virtual but the sensations are real with LFS.

And don't forget that a real racer has only one car for the entire season (with five or six tracks as a schedule). I think LFS users must do the same thing (stay with one car to learn it and find its limits).

At the same time for us Scawen is the Messie. And if, from time to time, he don't change the water in wine we are all lost.

I assure you, Scawen, LFS is making my life a lot better. Take all the time you need. That XRG alone can keep me busy for years.

Happy summer.

Hi everyone. I am grateful to Flotch for his wonderful help. I hope that I can help other racers myself. Thank you Flotch.

The competition is of high level here and I must practice a lot. See you on track.

And it is in an experimental stade only.

If only Scawen can apply on it some of his magic it will be the best add-on to lfs.

I am curious to know how many lfs users are using it.
Racedepartment Interview

The guys at Racedepartment are doing interesting interviews with the developers of some racing titles: Automobilista 2, Rfactor 2,... .

It will be great if they do one with the developers of our favorite sim.

Hi Ped7g.

In corners lfs ffb doesn't need any enhancer. It is already very good. I can feel the weight of the car very well. The problem is on the staights. For example in the long straight of blackwood it is someway annoying to not feel anything.

As I said the right thing is to disable completely the ffb in our wheels and use bass shakers instead.

I am curious to hear how it is by some guys that use them.

I did some practice at Rockingham lake with the mini (UF1) and 2 or 3 races against the ai. This is a very good laser scanned track and all the bumps, the kerbs are there.

With the standard FFB it's difficult to feel them. This simulation is a masterpiece but the track feels flat (perhaps it is my G27)

With the FFB enhancer that little mini come to live and the feel of the bumps and the road surface is great. All is there in a very positive way. It has his flaws and it is not parfect but I think it works.

Feeling the bumps, the tires on the road is a very realistic thing but as I said earlier, in real life, it's not through the wheel that it is communicated to the driver. We are compromising here.

Rockingham is reproduced phenominally in lfs. It is as if I was there. Thanks to Flotch again.

I am using the FFB enhancer created by juls. It has changed the feel of the cars on the track for me.

It's not perfect but with it lfs ffb is far superior to all the other sims.

I think that's because the standard ffb in lfs is already very good. It need some little tricks like this one.

Check my other thread.

Thanks lfsrm. But I am not used to such suspicion. I presented a honest deal.

Let's race now.

FFB enhancer

When I drive my real car (and this is true of any racing car, I imagine) I don't feel anything with my wheel. It's through my body that I sense all the bumps, the vibrations ant the road surface. So I think that the right thing for us sim racers in not the ffb in our wheels. It's something like buttkicker or bass shakers.

As the majority of us don't have these, we have to compensate this with our ffb wheels (I have a G27 by the way). With the ffb in lfs, almost all the time, I can't feel those bumps or road surfaces (blackwood).

But by using Juls FFB enhancer (dinput8.dll), I can feel everything in that track (with the xrg) and the driving is much more enjoyable.

So what do you think guys about this enhancer and can the developers integrate it in lfs. Thanks.

Thanks MicroSpecV. In fact the voucher Flotch sent to me was not for S1. It was for S3. I am really confused. Thanks again Flotch.

I am new here. I wasn't aware of all this. I understand now.

Thank you very much flotch for the voucher. I sent you a message with the code of my mint card.

To sermilan and UnkownMaster21: I don't want to race with you. I came here for some help and you faced me with your schizophrenia. Don't ever associate me to your "things". And don't forget this: I am not asking for a voucher code. I am trying to BUY one with MY MONEY. Those are two completely different things.

To all other LFS users: Thank you very match for your help and kindness.

Thanks lfsrm for the info. I think lfs is the best simulator right now. I am investing in the future. There will be a lot of updates in the coming months or years and I want to be part of it.

Even if the multiplayer is not great I can always hotlapping or racing against ai. The cars (and the physics) are fantastic.

Thanks lucaf. I sent you a message with the code of the mint card. I really appreciate.

To sermilan and UnkownMaster21: I am in single player mode most of the time racing against ai. The S1 license (and eventually S2 and S3) is for beginning my online career (I don't like demo servers) but in regard to your comments I am already scary and I am asking myself if this is not a mistake.

Sorry if this thread has made any unconvenience. I supposed things are more simple: I have the money to buy an S1 license (10 euros) but I can't. I am asking someone who can and receive some euros as a bonus.

And think about it like this guys: you are paying for lfs once. I am paying for it twice: I am paying the voucher code and I am paying for the service to have the code. I think this is the sumum of dedication to lfs.

You are wrong UnkownMaster21. Our banking system is very limited and we don't have credit-debit cards or paypal. For us buying things by internet is really hard if not impossible. I understand that my demand seems suspect but it is not.
All that I have is that Mint card for now. I intend to buy lfs progressively beginning with an S1 license.
Every time I drive my real car (a Kia Cerato) I say to myself that the only thing that is barely close is lfs.
Anyway thank you very much for your reply.
I want to buy lfs

Hi everyone. I am from Algeria and I want to buy an S1 license.I don't have a credit card but I have a Mint card (10 euros) which is not accepted here at Live for speed as a payment method. I am asking if someone could send me a voucher code for an s1 license (which for Algeria cost 6.77 euros). Of course I will send him the code of the Mint card (paymentwall). He will gain 3.33 euros.Thanks.
