No doubt tire management is still real important in longer races. I just think having the fastest laptime in general is overrated. Im not saying we should use high wind all the time by any means, I just think its cool to be somewhat simulating changing track conditions for once.

Coming back to lfs from other sims I just noticed even moreso how fixated everyone is on pb's. Like in other sims you dont always know exactly what the best times are and where you should be running. Without every stat at your fingertips It adds to the excitement come race time. plus with new tracks being run all the time and no hotlap charts its just a completely different perspective of racing... Whole different story though.

Honestly I totally agree with that. It's the one problem I have with this sim because it takes away the importance of being able to adapt. People seem to forget what real racing is about, there are so many more variables in real life, you dont just hotlap for hours in preparation for a race under the exact same track conditions. But the way this sim is setup, with every possible laptime stat and hotlap analyser available, I don't see that changing so long as everyone is judged by the illustrious "pb"

lol, I love how like people who are paranoid because they don't use cockpit view and haven't used it enough to be just as fast with it like always try to think of excuses to make them feel like they really don't have an advantage and there's actually valid reasons for using some stupid ass 'sit in front of the bumper', or 'flying 20 feet behind the car' view. Just stop trying to fight everyone because you can't drive with cockpit view unlike the rest of the world, and anyone who races in real life.

Also it's quite sad how EVERY post on these forums is about something that's already been debated at least 17 thousand times. There should really be a 'USE THE ****ING SEARCH' sticky if there isn't one already. Maybe you'd start seeing some useful threads being made on these forums for once.

They should definately be deleted. Mine are all from like different patches when I actually played LFS and some are obviously impossible times now. I see no point in not deleting everyones times... what's there to show if the many of the times aren't even legit for the mostly everyone?

I'd have to say that whole Kevo incident, and then all the photoshopped images made for some serious laughs.

Remember when everyone who raced blackwood GTI in S1 was like a big family and everyone knew each other, lol.
