With night time racing..... What about S.city and the buildings? Like the businesses along the part of S.City classic just past the chicane? Are those being considered too? And as far as lighting the car headlights.... will there be high beam/low beam? Will the lights automatically come on? Or will you have to map out a button somewhere to manually turn them on/off?
Aw man! They locked the July Progress report thread! Night time racing being developed..... Trouble is I got old. I don't see too good at night anymore. But since it's being done, what about the flaming trash cans? Anybody can model a stack of tires. Homelessness is on the rise. Maybe add some pedestrians for S. City? And maybe with S. City throw in some oncoming traffic A.I. cars to simulate street racing? I dunno. just a thought. How about an interactive dash board where you can play CD's, listen to Pandora or spotify or other online radio in game through the dashboard? C'mon if the idiots at Rockstar can put in in game stations with GTA, y'all should be able to come up with something.
That's why gun control laws won't work here. All that would mean is people would get their guns where they get their drugs.
Even though the majority of these weapons we have are semi-automatic, most are over the top for the military.
but as far as these shooters we've been getting goes.... everyone seems to only want to focus on the gun. It's like they totally ignore the mindset of the shooter.
I mean if these nut cases wake up one day and decide that it's perfectly OK to kill off a bunch of people, then a gun law or even access to firearms won't stop them.
I bought a book years ago called "basement nukes" The author was decades ahead of his time on predicting things like this. It was written in the 1970's when there was paranoia about people having access to atomic bomb plans. He went on to great detail on how "easy" it was to build a bomb.
And yes, if you got access to the right grade of uranium and enough centrifuges and don't care about how long you live, then any 8 year old can make one. He wrote that the real fear was people figuring out how to make biological weapons and how easy THAT was.
Thankfully when these psychos go that route, they mostly go for weaponized anthrax. If they decided to base weapons on Parrot fever, we're screwed.
And also, if there was a serious attempt to ban weapons here in the USof A.... then it'll probably usher in a second civil war. Not to mention there's enough guns and bullets out there to support an underground industry til the next century. And instead of our guns going into Mexico, the cartels will have a new product to sell to us.
The overwhelming majority of "assault style" firearms owners are wannabe collectors. People buying them for some sort of investment purpose or in a lot of cases to make up for an inadequacy. And of course the doomsday preppers that don't have a clue. Most are locked away in a gun safe somewhere to be passed on to descendants that will also put them in a safe somewhere. These bullet hoses might get shot about 50 times if that much.
We own two semi autos (we used to collect antique fire arms).... One is the original Tommy Gun. Looks like something straight out the Capone era. The other is a 1921 Mauser broom handle. To us, they're just toys. But what we carry are old school six-shooters. They don't jam. And if we can't hit a target on the first shot, then we don't deserve to live in Texas.
Uh... JFK was shot by Lee Harvey Oswald. No idiot on the grassy knoll. No Brazilian hit men. The reason people think there was more than one shooter is because they don't understand the ballistic properties of full metal jacketed bullets... military rounds.
But I think that there's a lot, a whole lot more to the MLK assassination.
Ray Earl Jones was just too stupid to pull it off by himself. Sure he was the shooter, but what about the folks that put him up to it? This guy was just too stupid to get away for as long as what he did and way too poor to make his way to the UK.
We were walking around in Downtown Dallas years ago. These folks practically shoved us into the JFK conspiracy museum. We watched some video about the assassination. It kept showing the assassination bit over and over and over and over.... We got to the point where when we saw the car in the video and we'd count one.... two.... three....Bang! They didn't like that too much, but oh well.
If you're really into the JFK stuff, then you should read the book by the guy that performed the autopsy. Trouble is it pees all over all the conspiracy theories.
You mean, you don't like Trump? Really? C'mon! why he's the "second coming of God" to Jews in Israel. Don't believe me? Then you can get a twitter account and ask him yourself. But he might go on a tangent and deny he has little hands or something.
As far as Presidents goes, Obama wasn't all that. But he was nothing like the train wreck we got now. Wait a minute.... you're from Scotland.
you don't play golf at his country club? He kicked me off his twitter account because I posted a meme I made stating how much better the country would be if we fired all the politicians, him included, and replaced them with illegal aliens.
LOL and he calls the libtards we got snowflakes!
The funny thing about Trump though is he's just a stupid loudmouth that somehow knows how to manipulate a solid voting bloc (work a crowd). The real problem are all the scumbags operating under his umbrella. He and his cronies along with the loony left that's taking over the other party of idiots we got has made this country more divided than the Civil Rights/Vietnam era of the 1960's. In fact we're divided like what we were in the 1850's and even though you're in Scotland, you've seen enough movies to know what that lead to. 2020 is going to be an interesting year for us here and to an extent, pretty much the rest of the planet. If he loses or if the electoral college totally over rides the popular vote and gets him re elected it's going to get nasty here. And if he does lose to whoever the D team pimps out, he and his bunch will sack the economy, mostly out of spite and to make the incoming administration have a real hard time undoing the damage they've caused more that what it is already.
Oh and before anyone goes off about the electoral college and previous elections, that was done all fair and square. It doesn't matter if New York has a zillion people, they only get so many electoral votes. That gives other states, like Nebraska and Connecticut a fair stake in determining Presidential elections.
But BUT the electoral votes are supposed to be determined by the popular vote in that particular electorate's state. They've recently determined that it's OK for the electorate to override the popular vote of their district. Even overruling state laws that guarantee that.
That's a pretty damned stupid thing to do.
LOL and you just THOUGHT you had problems with Brexit.
Where I live is an area with a strange phenomenon. It can rain on one side of the street and not the other.
I've seen it rain in one person's backyard and their yard only at almost the exact same time of day for like a week. So where I'm from your westhill example isn't all that drastic. In fact, it kinda sounds like a good idea.
