smh. I rather be on the negative, pessimistic but realistic side of things.

LFS, a niche market and logical to expect low activity? Duhh, no bs. Meanwhile other popular simracing games are stacking the numbers and providing tournaments with somewhat decent prize pools that people are interested to compete in with high attendance rates (e.g. iR). Meanwhile LFS is just some old, forgotten game where only new people might turn in to see how it was like. It's more nostalgic than revolutionary. It's like sticking to W XP or Windows Phone because you are so attached to things and can't move on Big grin

Most of them are nonames, except for SL and Botsi Shrug And how many of them finish the actual race? How long is the actual race tho.

Try to replicate it with a sign-up system via LFSforums.

Times have changed DK. The overall state of the community will affect the toxicity. It's easy for people to meme the crap out of this place and there's a reason for it

sigh

Quote from k_badam :You're wrong dude, the 40 grid slot GTi Thursdays and FOX Fridays get full most of time, and the racing at the front is always super close.

It's just 2 servers and those events happen on certain days. Now try to replicate those numbers by making an event where you have to actually sign up to compete...would that happen? Nop.

Quote from THE WIZARD DK :
stop suggesting things that could give some ideas for the owner in the future ?
because thats all i wrote about there really. so dont really get your comment.

You usually suggest things by writing an useless essay about them that most people won't even read. The game has been stuck in development since 2009 and yet you throw these ideas as if they were some major game developer.
Just look at your suggestions on TC forums. None takes you seriously.

The amount of servers left is sad so it will be difficult to find something enjoyable.

Quote from bishtop :In LFS any event with a full grid of good racers is enjoyable and happens every week, the only difference is do i want to pay to play and race in events with a full grid or do i want to race in an event with a full grid for pay only once for my license

Yes, a full-grid demo server LMAO

iR is not expensive. Can't have everything for free. It surely isn't expensive when you consider how many people actually play it vs how many people play LFS. Shrug

Quote from bishtop :There are still good leagues with plenty of competitors, worth looking them up and with i have a pretty good build with VR and decent wheel but still think IRacing is not worth the money, it has its market i agree but graphically its rubbish compared to a.c+ project cars and the physics are not anything to write home about.
People tend to like a game or simulator they are able to instantly be able to drive which is not very realistic and Liveforspeed does replicate well.

Knowing what kind of leagues Kiste has done in iR, you cannot convince him by saying that LFS has decent leagues, because it's false. Yeah the racing might be good but iR offers that atmosphere that screams for competition. In LFS tho it's just grandpas racing.

Quote from BeNoM :I know it's hard for you to understand, but no one cares about the production date of the car, more so the fact that new content (in the form of a car) is being added to LFS after a long time.

..a long time.

Quote from Racer X NZ :It's great to hear about WR racers on servers, leagues, etc. I'm really pleased that LFS still has the rich, full online life that I remember many, many years ago.

Randomly brought up memories of [AMG] AS3 w/ GTRs. The diversity back then was insane. Having servers both for GTRs, TBOs, GTIs and Open Wheelers to choose from and play on was too much fun. Falken Drift Server was a blast too, no bs, no dumb insim with a drift scorer, just everyone having a blast. Now even the drift servers have a biased community.

The competition is closer because there are more average racers than alien racers. Except for Botsi and Excellent, they are rather active and capable of doing gr8 hotlaps.
