Quote from Ball Bearing Turbo :Thanks guys, that helps. The car doesn't get driven far very often, mostly used to drive kids to school in the winter, which is close. So I am wondering if the first O2 sensor is very fouled or just failed.

If the system runs mega rich in safe mode how come the error is that the A/F ratio is lean?

Edit: also wondering why it would come back when some throttle is applied? Could that indicate said O2 sensor is dirty but gets enough exhaust moving across it to get a reading or something?

The o2 sensor reads during the closed loop and once rpm's rise, the maf sensor reads during the open loop.

Try cleaning the maf sensor near the airbox with "contact cleaner" otherwise it's time for a new maf sensor.

Quote from Agniz :http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7xta7FIBHyU

looks like australian gaycops got nothing better to do...

They have plenty to do.. Here in Sydney (Where that footage is from) there's been shootings every few days between warring drug families, bikies shooting each other every few weeks too. But obviously an air filter sticking out of a bonnet is a much greater danger to society then drive by shootings in suburban streets.

No one here is suprised about the reporter mistaking an evo for a subbie, that show is by far the worst example of journalism on oz tv. They interviewed others that got defected in that bust but they only chose to show the morons as usual. Typical one sided report by them.

He must've been going at least 200kph to split a VE commodore like that. And to do it on a tree lined city street is pretty ****in stupid.

Quote from Klutch :250kph down a dual lane highway

Pretty crazy doing that this time of the year. Double demerits haven't started over this side yet and there's highway patrol everywhere already. But then again if you're caught doing 250kph, you're licence is gone for a couple years anyway. I've already got my quiet muffler on to avoid hassles

Quote from Klutch :Never heard of a locked diff seizing..only shattering.

I've never seen one seize either, just got warned about it. I did it anyway lol.

But if the centre gears shatter, I guess there is always a chance of the pieces finding their way between the crown and pinion.

I don't know about u joints but welded up lockers have been known to seize.

Quote from S14 DRIFT :Dizman you seem to take specific insult to what I say; why? Because you followed him and respect him for, as has been said by others, being a numpty and finding a way to get paid for it?

I used to skate as a kid, so i seen their CKY vids way before they were famous and they made me laugh my arse off. But that's not really what made me reply, cause usually, i just can't be bothered posting. I do agree with what you, and others, have said about mourning someone just cause they're famous. I don't understand how people can mourn someone they didn't know personally either.

I replied cause of what you said about having no pity for someone who brought something upon them self. From your post, i assume that you've never lost someone to a DUI related death. I've lost one close friend who decided to drive drunk, and i've lost another friend due to speeding. Whilst i do agree with you to a degree, about reaping what you sow, most people get a second chance to learn from their mistakes. Others pay the ultimate price. I have pity on them because they didn't get that second chance.

Then again, maybe i'm just turning into an old hippy

Quote from Ball Bearing Turbo :For the first time in history, Jamie said something worth looking at, and he has a point. Just because he's normally full of shit don't discount what he's saying. It's kind of summed up in what Phil said.

I feel remorse and in the past probably too much so about people and situations that will never have a bearing on me. I had a long thread with Kev a few years back about the fact that if I ever caught a rapist in the act I'd probably kill him with my bare hands and whether I was justified or not. It's fine that this fellow entertained people, but this crap happens to people every day and whether you realize it or not you're elevating him over the average human simply because he did rather dumb things and found a way to get paid for it.

Philosophy or not, it's plain fact that it's 100% selfish to actually feel remorse for a guy that (most likely) died doing something we'd condemn our friends for doing and maybe killed an "innocent" at the same time, simply because your depraved entertainment desires have been stunted by the death of a dubious stuntman. Really; think about that. You wouldn't be here lamenting the death of a volunteer who helped addicts or widows get on their feet; because that's not entertainment is it? But a guy who takes a shit in a display toilet at the shop somehow deserves a memorial when he dies being a jackass and takes someone with him - great show people, great show!

Having no sympathy cause you didn't know someone is one thing. Implying that they deserved what happened to them, cause they were trying to impress stupid american teenagers, is another.

Quote from Shadowww :That's complete nonsense.

Better example would be:

Microsoft: Vista will have WinFS!!!
Someone: /me purchased vista.
Microsoft: WinFS isn't ready so you won't have it in vista.
Someone: Oh noez I don't have mah winfs, gimme back mah moneyz!!!!

Where did i say that i want my money back? Did you even read my post?

All i said was that Eric was treating his customers with contempt and that regular development updates would get rid of most of these type of threads.

Yeah, cause that's what i said.

I'll try to get my point across to you in a way that you will hopefully understand.

What if you went to your local Lada dealer and bought a car. Then, when you got the car home, you found that there were problems with it. You take it back to the dealer and he says to you.. "No comarade, i don't care that you pay me 500 lats, you can't expect me to fix this car by next winter, you can't even ask me when it will be fixed because you have a crazy brain. I'm going back inside to drink some vodka"

Is that a bit better shit for brains?

Quote from mcintyrej :In reply to the link in your signature - you say no other sim has the same developer-customer relationship?

Yeah well find me another sim that is made completely from scratch by three people, devoting their lives to keeping us happy.

Maybe you lot should be a little more thankful for what they've made so far.

If Scawen is taking his time, it means he's doing a proper job. Not just some silly bodge 'here you go now shut up' job. He clearly doesn't care about all you whining, so doing it does nothing but annoy the sane minded people around here.

http://nismo.1g.fi/kuvat/LFS+m ... testPRevar.png/_small.jpg

The response to Eric's post is spot on imho. It's very poor customer service. We as paying customers deserve a little more respect then being called "mentally ill" because we would like some info on the product that we purchased. No offence, but he's not exactly the hardest working member of Scavier.

I understand that we all bought the product "as is" and that the developers aren't obliged to provide any more content or improvements beyond the purchase date. But as paying customers, i think we are entitled to a little more info on what's being worked on, or if it is still actually being worked on.

Some info here and there will surely get rid of all these type of threads.

Personally, i couldn't give a shit about the scirocco, it sounds about as exciting as watching paint dry. What i am waiting for is improvements to the things that have been frustrating like crash physics and hopefully a new track. Something that will get me addicted to LFS again.

Just my 2 cents.

Quote from Christopher Raemisch :Logic would assume to show pedal modulation you would need videos that actually show their feet, or at least telemetry.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v ... qEnE4&feature=related

Something like that.

No, logic will tell you that seeing the tyres go up in smoke and then grip again shows actual throttle control. But I'm done wasting my time here since you can't grasp this simple concept.

Quote from Christopher Raemisch :Sure there is a driver component, but it's not like circuit racing where the driver is modulating the throttle to stay in traction limits. Drag racers simply don't have the time to react. It takes the brain .5 seconds to react to anything, by then the launch is done and they are holding on for the finish.

Quote from BlueFlame :There have been talks at Santa Pod about how dangerous Nitromethane is, things like, in aluminium can and you tap with steel rod at 30'celsius it explodes, and stuff like this.

Nitromethane will only light up under pressure. That's what gives nitro cars 8000hp. It will not light with a naked flame but it will explode with a hammer blow.

You really need to stop.

Quote from Tim_J_23 :Oh ok.
But how come then they dont race the nitromethane in sweden?
They race the Top fuels but not the funny cars on nitromethane ...

Because there's not enough cars/money to compete in a championship. Just like here in Australia, they have a couple cars going around doing demonstration runs and that's about it.

In the US they have 24 NHRA championship events per season with over 20 cars trying to get into a 16 car field and that's just nitro funny car. They have huge budgets sometimes fielding 2 or even 3 car teams in each class.

Anyone who thinks a 5 event season (FIA/UEM) with limited cash and second grade tracks can actually be quicker and faster than the US racing is a complete moron.
