Just wanted to let you know EQWorry, the latest version of TeamSpeak3 is no longer compatible with Aonio. Not sure what they changed but the TeamSpeak panel in Aonio no longer shows who is speaking.
While a good theory, I hate to say it's not right. I had it happening less than 24hr ago on a track/car combo I had never driven so my pb and live timing were all done with 1.5.0 and I was still seeing spots where I'd be heading to the first split and live timing would be showing -1.0 but the split was actually +.24 (as an example). The only thing I could think of for a reason behind this was from it trying to time outlap stuff and me pitting before the oulap was completed. Either that or if I had started the first hotlap and then warped to the garage for a setting change. I wish I would have saved a replay of that session.
EQ Worry, it seems to me that the new 'live' panel is a little buggy. I often see spots when practicing where it will show me as being faster, in say the 1st sector, by 1 second but I'm actually slower by maybe .25. I think it might be writing values to the pb files when it shouldn't be. Haven't been able to pin down an exact way to make it replicate this bug, but I think it's happening if you go on an outlap and then warp to pits part way around the track before completing the outlap.
Not too late, but it seems like there were only 8 people to sign up for it and it almost seems to be in hiatus again. All we've done so far is a couple of test races to check the car balancing. Not sure when it will actually start at this point, but feel free to go to the website linked in the first post to sign up and keep tabs on things.
You might run into a problem with only one button showing currently talking person. There are often times when more than one person keys up the mic and are all trying to talk at once. Just something to keep in mind when testing.
I think for something like that you can go with a bogey time of around 29 seconds. 95% of the races I've done with mandatory pit stops no matter the car/track combo it's always been around 28-30 second bogey time for pit stops.
I'd LOVE to see something like that for TS3. As you say, I've moved away from TS2 since TS3 has built in wheel button support for PTT. Being able to see who's talking on screen while driving like LFSRelax used to be able to do with TS2 would be very nice. I'll keep my fingers crossed that you find a solution.
Just wanted to say that like EQ Worry I have never had any issues like this and I'm constantly saving replays with Aonio running. Maybe it's a difference in the operating system or language settings for the operating system?
Just found a problem with this, using this it won't load the Aonio config file that's in the Aonio directory. Only work around I've found for this is to move the config.txt and the sta.txt files into the main LFS directory.
Just did a little testing with the replay and what I was seeing was definitely from the car class stuff. I didn't know I had to set the 3 of them up together as a class. I'll have to remember this for future series but thanks for the heads up on how to resolve the small issue I had.
I had originally did new custom definitions as I know I often race in different series that use various intake restrictions so I wanted to be able to keep them separate from other possible intake restrictions I might be running in the future. Take the baby UF-R as an example, I've run in 2 different series, one running at 45% and one running at 30% so I have 2 different custom definitions.
Still think it would be nice to have an option to show either class or absolute for positioning, but now that I know better what the class stuff is for I can easily setup any number of cars as one class and get my absolute position.
I just had a race last night, we were driving the GT class cars, FXR/FZR/XRR with intake restrictions to balance the cars. The car ahead and the car behind were never the proper cars. I have setup in my config file separate custom car types for these 3 so fuel and PB stuff wouldn't affect the unrestricted fuel and PB. I don't know if it would help any but my custom car types are set at CustomCars=FXC|FXR,23,0 XRC|XRR,24,0 FZC|FZR,20,0 and if a replay would help you it's available at: http://www.lfs-lota.net/race_f ... /WT10/GTCC-WT10R5S1-F.mpr
If it was the multiclass aspect of Aonio that was affecting this I'd like to request an option in the config file for us to disable it. With those 2 panels I'd rather have the option to have them show absolute over class since I mainly race in same class.
I hope you guys are ready for some more screwy stuff. Some of the ideas Dan is kicking around are crazy and will definitely be different from any normal racing you see in LFS.
