Quite alot of chassis work is done on the base of the car, engine location and suspension.
At this stage the design is only 2 months old and is still flexible. I do intend to run the body through a CFD program when I have access to one.
Thank you for your feedback

Hello, i just wanted to ask a wide group of car people what they thought of my car design. I hope to one day build this as a kit car type vehicle.
I Would love some feedback about the look of the car and any thoughts you have about it.

Quote from Racer Y :Gee. It sure is nice that YOU'RE happy to pay that much for a video game.
A big part of LFS's appeal is bang for your buck. If it was in that price range, it be thrown into and would have a harder time competing with titles like call of duty and whatever else. So you might have a game with all this neat stuff, just noone else to play with.
But you're right about lack of development. Or at least the appearance of. You'd think that something more would have been done with this game by now than what has.

Do you have a wheel to play LFS, how much was that?
i do know what you mean about the price though but as i see it LFS has quite limited content it just happens to be very good for the most part
Time for a different approach?

I have been a fan of LFS for years but like most the complete lack of development for years is starting to leave me disappointed, this would not be a problem is LFS offered everything a person could want but it does not. The lack of rain, night racing and grids of over 20 cars present a problem in my opinion not to mention that there are very few real life cars. However serious these problems LFS’s strong point has always been its physics, and this remains, it is one of the easiest to get into and has probably the best feeling of any simulation I have tried. The graphics engine is also still in a good state, with updated textures and reflections LFS looks very real and much better than most offering, in fact the only simulation I think looks more realistic than an updated LFS is Asseto Corsa. Anyway my point is that with all of these things going for it I believe that it is lime the Devs put LFS out to pasture and teamed up with a group that could acquire the real world licensing for cars and tracks and concentrated on developing a game engine, as it is I would happily pay £30 or £40 for a sim based on the LFS engine but with real content. So is it time to change direction?

Quote from ATC Quicksilver :Ssssh, I'm slowly trying to teach them to turn right, hopefully they won't notice. Also I have uploaded it again, fixed a problem with checkpoints that count 2 laps as 1.

reminds me of the uk 1/4 mile ovals, infact the shape and downhill is very similar to the track i race at

What the hell is going on with this stuff.
these people do a superspecial stage a few times in a Subaru thatthey put a monster turbo on. it is the worst thing to happen to rallying sine the horrific death in group b back in the 80's.
the thing i can't understand is these drivers (Travis Pastrama, Dave Mira, and the worst ofender Kne Block) and nothing more than showoffs.
But i think there will be one high point for me in the career, this will be next year when his is reportedly going to enter the WRC, he doesn't stand a hope in hell.
if anyone has anyreason why these people are not the "Plague" of rallying I am more than willing to listen

Quote from Greboth :I remember reading somewhere, I think it was an interview with Ross, that he joined too late in the development of 2008 to have a big impact. Only through the season he could. Whereas 2009 was under the full impact of having Ross on board. Either way, it was an amazing transformation.

Button and Hamilton in the same team would be an awesome line up. The previous world champsion and the current racing each other in the same machinary - who is going to win.

that would be a great return to the days of sena and prost who drove for maclaren

Racing is the total escape from everything that is real, the smell of the petrol and burnt rubber, the engine screaming, tose seconds of anticipation at the start, the thrill of the chase, that moment were a bourd saying 1 lap to go is shown to you and you are in first place and the moment that flag drops at the end but most important is in that time you are free from all of lifes troubles and wories, you think of nothing else infact nothing else even exists. if i had my way i would be on the track everyday.

Quote from jnr89 :well, i can understand a lot of stuff of "real" skills after doing them on "virtual" skills, thats why i say the only diference is the heat, the g´s forces, the wind, and if you crash: the pain, the money, the gas you use lol...

but talking about reactions or reflexes, the understanding of the concepts "APEX", "braking points", "racing line" is something that virtual skills can help you to improve in that aspect..

i saw a professional driver testing GT4 back there when it was released, and he said "this kind of games can help you to study track courses", so i think there are some advantages of playing sims

the only similarity is the racing line
NOTHING else is the same. because i only have a keybord i struggle on LFS but i can win races in real life. lfs is the best sim i have ever tried but it still comes nowere close to real. for me i just see sims as a chance to drive cars that i would not normaly get the chance too and i know they won't feal like that in real life

for a race driver a sim can aid in tecneque but will Never peplace real driving. you don't get that rush of cold air or the smell of petrol or the sence of doom when your heading into a wall
