LFSPoints V0.8

This is a small program used to aid league managers in calculating the championship point results for league races in the racing simulator Live for Speed. It works by parsing the Multiplayer Replay files (.mpr) created by the game and comparing the results against a user-defined points table. It then gives a display of the results which can either be copied and pasted, or exported as an XML or CSV file.

Requirements:

You must have at least the Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 Runtime installed to use the program. Please download it with the following URL, if you do not have it already.

http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-gb/netframework/aa731542.aspx

Installation:

Download and unzip. You can run it from anywhere on your hard disk. To remove the program simply delete the folder.

Usage:

Upon first being run you will be prompted to configure some options, firstly the location on your hard disk of your 'LFS.exe' file. Click the Browse button and find the 'LFS.exe' file in your Live for Speed installation folder.

Secondly to setup the points allocation simply enter the amount of points you would like to award for each position, when you are happy with the amounts click OK. You will then be presented with a list of your current replay files in the game.

You can click once a replay file to view some information about it, then click it again to mark it with a tick, indicating that the replay file will be included when next calculating the points table. When you have selected all the replays you would like to calculate the points for, click the Update Points button to view the results.

Known Issues:

The Live for Speed replay file omits some race data if the race was not completed, or if the replay was saved before the race was finished. Because of this it sometimes possible for certain information, such as the cars or drivers which took part in a race, to not be recorded. For best results do not save the replay file until all competitors have crossed the finish line.

Changes in V0.8:
