RCS v0.8 (c) 2009 M.Schmidt
---------------------

RCS (RaceControlSystem) is under development and not finished, but stable.
Try it on your own risk.

Features so far:
----------------
-central database for playerstats
-can connect up to 8 servers with one database
-autom. skill-managemant (skill measures clean and realistic driving, not speed)
-a server can kick a player on connect, if he/she hasnt a needed skill
-rolling starts, gp starts or random
-crewcomments to positionfights, laps and other things
-pitboard to show distances to real next/prev car on track (not the lfs-position distances)
-autom. penalty mangement, penaltys are stored and delayed (penaltys from rcs only)
-track & pitlanerules
-automatic pitstopwindows to complete a race
-changable textoutput
-special qualy-rules (maximum laps, maximum tries, startwindows; all together or alone)
....and more

Install:
-------
-unpack the .zip into a folder.
-edit the general rcs_server.cfg to your needs (dont do this, if you want to follow the localtest-instructions)
-setup/create the rcs-configs for the differnt server (0-7) you want to use [server_x.cfg]
-start RcsManager.exe
-you can edit the server_x.cfg and reload the config with "#loadconfig" ingame (no rcs_restart needed)

Use:
-------
The RcsMCP (MasterControlProgram :) ) will create an empty db-file after the start (if there is no DB present).
With every restart, it will create a backup (.startbak). With everey db-write on disk, it will create a backup (.bak).
Players are only saved to DB, if they have driven laps. AI's are never saved.

The database is saved automatically, if all servers are idle.
You can save the database manually with "#KILLALL" ingame. But this will close rcs too

After starting RCS, connect your lfs-server with your lfs and enter #help,.help or !help for commands.
If you are connected with admin-rights you will get some more commands.

known Bugs:
-----------
all should be fine. maybe logical bugs. who knows
